District 28 of the Oregon State Senate comprises all of Klamath County as well as parts of Deschutes and Jackson counties. The district is composed of Oregon House districts 55 and 56. It is currently represented by Republican Diane Linthicum of Beatty.
District boundaries have changed over time. Therefore, senators before 2013 may not represent the same constituency as today. From 1993 until 2003, it covered parts of north-central and eastern Oregon; from 2003 until 2013, the district shifted to its current location covering central and southern Oregon, incorporating all of Crook and Klamath counties as well as parts of Deschutes, Jackson, and Lake counties; and from 2013 until 2023, the borders of the district changed only marginally, losing a small area in Jackson County and picking up much of southern Deschutes County.
The current district is similar to its previous iterations, but with some major changes. The district no longer covers any of Crook or Lake counties while covering more of southern Deschutes County.

Central Oregon is a geographic region in the U.S. state of Oregon and is traditionally considered to be made up of Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties. Other definitions include larger areas, often encompassing areas to the north towards the Columbia River, eastward towards Burns, or south towards Klamath Falls. These three counties have a combined population of 200,431 as of the 2010 census, with Deschutes the largest of the three counties, having approximately four times the population of the other two counties combined. As of 2015, the most populous city in the region is Bend, with an estimated 87,014 residents. As defined by the three county definition, Central Oregon covers 7,833 square miles (20,290 km2) of land. Central Oregon has had 3 record tourism years beginning in 2012. Over 2.2 million people visited Central Oregon in 2012 and again in 2013.
Oregon's 2nd congressional district is the largest of Oregon's six districts, and is the seventh largest district in the nation. It is the second-largest congressional district in the nation that does not cover an entire state, and has been represented by Republican Cliff Bentz of Ontario since 2021.
Doug Whitsett is an American politician who served in the Oregon State Senate from 2005 until 2017, representing District 28. He is a Republican and served on the Ways and Means Committee, the Ways and Means Public Safety subcommittee, the Emergency Board, the Judiciary Committee, and the Office of Administrative Hearings Oversight Committee.
George Gilman was a politician from the U.S. state of Oregon. He served as the state representative for District 55 of the Oregon House of Representatives, the second largest House district in Oregon, from 2003 to 2011. A Republican, he served as vice-chair of the Transportation Committee as vice-chair and the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development.
Charles Amos Cogswell was an American politician and attorney from the state of Oregon. He served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, he moved to Lakeview, Oregon, where he became the area's first practicing attorney and was co-founder of the Lake County Examiner. Cogswell was elected to two four-year terms in the Oregon State Senate. During his tenure in the legislature, he was known as a conservative Democrat; however, near the end of his second term in the senate, he became a Republican. After retiring from his law practice, Cogswell moved to Portland, Oregon, where he was active in business and engaged in public service.
George Harris Merryman was a country doctor, businessman, and politician from the U.S. state of Oregon. A Republican, he served two non-consecutive terms in the Oregon House of Representatives. In between those terms, he was elected to the Oregon State Senate for one term. In both the house and senate, the districts he represented were large and rural. Merryman was also a pioneer doctor who made house calls by horse and buggy for many years. He later built the first modern hospital in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

It is currently represented by Republican David Brock Smith of Port Orford, who was appointed to the seat on January 11, 2023 after the resignation of Dallas Heard.

District 5 of the Oregon State Senate comprises all of Lincoln County on the central Oregon Coast, as well as parts of Benton, Coos, Douglas, and Lane counties. It is composed of Oregon House districts 9 and 10. It is currently represented by Republican Dick Anderson of Lincoln City.
District 18 of the Oregon State Senate comprises parts of central Washington County centered around Aloha and encompassing parts of Beaverton and Hillsboro. It is composed of Oregon House districts 35 and 36. It is currently represented by Democrat Wlnsvey Campos of Aloha.
District 19 of the Oregon State Senate comprises northwestern Clackamas, southwestern Multnomah, and southeastern Washington counties and includes Lake Oswego, Tualatin, and West Linn as well as Portland's South Waterfront. It is composed of Oregon House districts 37 and 38. It is currently represented by Democrat Rob Wagner of Lake Oswego.
District 24 of the Oregon State Senate comprises parts of Clackamas and Multnomah counties. Since January 2021, it has been represented by Democrat Kayse Jama, who was appointed unanimously by the Clackamas and Multnomah County Boards of Commissioners to replace Shemia Fagan after she was elected Oregon Secretary of State.
District 26 of the Oregon State Senate comprises all of Hood River County, as well as parts of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Wasco counties. The district is composed of Oregon House districts 51 and 52. It is currently represented by Republican Daniel Bonham of Hood River.

District 30 of the Oregon State Senate comprises all of Baker, Crook, Grant, Harney, Lake, and Malheur counties, as well as parts of Deschutes and Jefferson counties. The district is composed of Oregon House districts 59 and 60 and is the largest state Senate district in Oregon. It is currently represented by Republican Mike McLane of Powell Butte.
The 1932 United States presidential election in Oregon took place on November 8, 1932, as part of the 1932 United States presidential election. Voters chose five representatives, or electors, to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Virgil Conn was an American businessman and state legislator from the state of Oregon. He served two two-year terms in the Oregon House of Representatives as a Republican legislator, representing a large rural district in south-central Oregon. He also ran a general store in Paisley, Oregon, and was that town's postmaster for many years. Later in his life, he owned a dairy farm near Roseburg, Oregon.
Diane Linthicum is an American Republican politician who currently serves in the Oregon Senate. She representes the 28th district, which encompasses all of Klamath County as well as outlying parts of Deschutes and Jackson Counties.
