Origin is the second studio album by American post-hardcore band Dayseeker. The album was released on April 21, 2015, through InVogue Records and was produced by Nick Ingram.
Alex Polk announced in mid-December 2014 that the band would fly to Ohio to record the new album with record producer Nick Ingram who worked with bands like Before Their Eyes and Hotel Books in the past. [1] [2]
The band recorded a cover song of "Jealous" originally released by Nick Jonas which fans were able to download when they pre-ordered the record at MerchNow. [2] [3] [4]
The album's track list was leaked on April 2, 2015. [5]
The first song the band released on March 26, 2015, was the title track "Origin". [6] Another song was released by InVogue Records on YouTube on April 3, 2015, titled "A Cancer Uncontained". [7] The latest single, "The Earth Will Turn" was released on April 15, 2015, just one week before the album's official release. [8]
On April 18, 2015, the band headed out for a short U.S. tour with Silent Planet to promote their new record. The tour ended on May 4, 2015, in Indianapolis, Indiana after eleven shows. [9]

Origin received nearly exclusively positive reviews. The lyrical themes and the singing voice of vocalist Rory Rodriguez were praised by some reviewers.
Origin peaked at No. 1 at iTunes metal charts. The album sold exactly 1,150 copies during the first sales week, resulting Origin being the first charting album ever. [13] It peaked on no. 20 at Billboard Heatseekers Charts in charting week of May 9, 2015. [14]

Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard (drums).
The Jonas Brothers are an American pop rock band. Formed in 2005, they gained popularity from their appearances on the Disney Channel television network. They consist of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers moved to Little Falls, New Jersey, in 2005, where they wrote their first record that made its Hollywood Records release. They starred in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and its 2010 sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. They also starred in their own Disney Channel series Jonas, which was rebranded as Jonas L.A. for its second season. The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona. Formed in 2007, the group consists of lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist John O'Callaghan, lead guitarist Jared Monaco, bass guitarist Garrett Nickelsen, drummer Patrick Kirch, and rhythm guitarist Kennedy Brock. The band is joined by touring member Adam Simons, as of 2018, who plays keys, rhythm and lead guitar as well as percussion.
Nicholas Jerry Jonas is an American singer, songwriter and actor. Jonas began acting on Broadway at the age of seven, and released his debut single in 2002; this caught the attention of Columbia Records, where Jonas formed a band with his older brothers, Kevin and Joe, known as the Jonas Brothers. "Resistance" is a song by English alternative rock band Muse, featured as the title track on their fifth studio album The Resistance. Written by vocalist, guitarist and pianist Matthew Bellamy, it was released as the third single from the album, following "Uprising" and "Undisclosed Desires", on 22 February 2010. The song makes several references to the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, by George Orwell. The intro of the song is used in the trailer of the last episode of BBC show Silent Witness. In February 2010, Muse had uploaded a picture puzzle of "Resistance" artwork on their official Facebook page. The puzzle itself has a making of the "Resistance" track. The song was featured in a promo for an episode of Human Target. The song was also released as downloadable content for the music video game Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.
InVogue Records is an American record company based in Findlay, Ohio. It was founded by Nick Moore, lead singer of Before Their Eyes, in 2009. In the fall of 2011 InVogue Records signed a distribution deal with Independent Label Group and Alternative Distribution Alliance. In the summer of 2017 InVogue signed a new distribution deal with Sony/RED. The deal was merged into The Orchard/Sony.

City Lights was an American pop punk band from Columbus, Ohio, formed in 2008. They released two EPs and two studio albums during their six-year tenure; the latest being The Way Things Should Be, released on December 10, 2013, via InVogue Records. The band signed to InVogue in May 2011. The band announced their dissolution on February 13, 2014. One year later on February 13, 2015, they released a third EP titled Acoustic EP 2. They announced that they had no intention of getting back together but if schedules permitted they would still take part in shows and put out music.
Knuckle Puck is an American rock band, formed in 2010 in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The group released several EPs, one of which, While I Stay Secluded (2014), peaked at number 5 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The band released a split EP with the UK band Neck Deep. The group signed to Rise in 2014 and released its debut album, Copacetic, through the label in 2015.

Madness is the fourth studio album by American rock band Sleeping with Sirens. The album was released on March 17, 2015 through Epitaph Records. The album was self-produced by the band and John Feldmann. The album is the band's first release following their departure from Rise Records in 2014. It is their first album record to feature guitarist Nick Martin of D.R.U.G.S. and Underminded who replace former guitarist Jesse Lawson. Madness was preceded by lead single "Kick Me" as well as a string of digital singles. The album continues the band's progression to a more pop rock–style sound, but retains some post-hardcore influences on tracks.

DNCE was an American dance-rock band consisting of lead singer Joe Jonas, drummer Jack Lawless, and guitarist JinJoo Lee. Bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle was a part of the band from when it started in 2015 to when it went on hiatus in 2018. DNCE's music is mainly dance-rock, dance-pop, pop rock, and funk-pop. The band signed with Republic Records, who gave them a record deal to release their debut single, "Cake by the Ocean", which was released on September 18, 2015. The song reached the top 10 on several charts, including on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number nine. Their debut extended play (EP), Swaay, was released on October 23, 2015. Their self-titled debut studio album was released on November 18, 2016. Their second EP, People to People, was released on June 15, 2018. They were also nominated for Favorite New Artist for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards and Best Song to Lip Sync and Best Anthem for the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards. The group performed at the 2017 Fashion Meets Music Festival. In February 2022, DNCE returned after their hiatus with a collaboration with Kygo titled "Dancing Feet". The band went back on hiatus in mid-2023.
