The Serio Falls are the tallest waterfall in Italy, and the second tallest waterfall in Europe. They are located 100 km north of Milan, 50 km from Bergamo, near the village of Valbondione, in the Bergamo Alps upper Valle Seriana, Province of Bergamo, in the alpine Lombardy region of Northern Italy. Located at 1751m MAMSL, the falls are composed of three main steps, respectively 166, 74 and 75 metres tall; taken together the falls have a drop of 315 m. The falls are formed by the Serio River, at a short distance from its source in the Bergamo Alps. The falls were used as a film location of the 2017 movie Call Me By Your Name by Luca Guadagnino. The falls are served by Bergamo Orio Al Serio airport, Milan-Linate and Milan-Malpensa.

ASL Airlines Hungary Flight 7332 was a cargo flight operating for DHL from Paris–Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, to Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport, Italy. On 5 August 2016, the aircraft overran the runway while landing at Bergamo in poor weather and came to rest on a nearby road. The airport was closed for almost three hours after the crash, and flights were rescheduled or rerouted to Malpensa Airport. The two-person crew was not injured.

The regiment is part of the Italian army's army aviation and operationally assigned to the Army Aviation Support Command. The regiment provides 2nd-line maintenance, upgrade and test services for the AB 205A multirole helicopters of the 4th Army Aviation Regiment "Altair", and the NH90 transport helicopters of the 3rd Special Operations Helicopter Regiment "Aldebaran", 5th Army Aviation Regiment "Rigel", and 7th Army Aviation Regiment "Vega".
Autostrada A36, also called Pedemontana Lombarda, is a motorway in northern Italy that aims to speed up travel in the north of Milan, creating a road outside the Metropolitan City of Milan to connect the province of Varese with that of Bergamo, as well as the Milan Malpensa Airport with the Orio al Serio International Airport.
