The Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (OCP) is a society for the promotion of Orthodox Christian unity and faith established under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act of 1955. [1] Formerly known as Orthodoxy Beyond Limits, the society's name changed in 2010 and it was registered in July of that year.

OCP accords equal importance to Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches; according to its mission statement, it "firmly believes that both the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches are the true heirs to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church of Christ, which was the Church of the apostles and the Holy Fathers." [2] The society's slogan is "The United Orthodox Christian Witness".

History

OCP began as 'Orthodoxy Beyond Limits' in June 2007. Inspired by Kyriakose Thottupuram of Chicago, George Alexander, Subin Varghese and Boaz John formed the OBL forum. The forum website was inaugurated by Mor Gregorious Gabriel of Trivandrum and Chorbishop Kyriakose Thottupuram in July 2007 in Chicago. [3]

In October 2018, the Center for Orthodox Studies (COS) was launched. COS is an organ under the Dept. of Church Research and Studies of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE. COS is the apex body for various OCP projects like MARP, OCEI, and OOCP. Fr. Dr. Jossi Jacob (Faculty – Holy Trinity University, Ethiopia) is the Head and Chief of COS.

The OCP Society is registered as an NGO under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. An executive council is elected from the general body every three years. The council consists of a chancellor, chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, treasurer, and five elected members. The Executive Council is followed by OCP Foundation, Delegate Council, OCP Secretariat, OCP Departments, and External Observatory Council.

Research and studies on the society

A presentation and lecture on the pan-orthodox activities of OCP was held at the ]]Westphalian Wilhelm University Münster]] on 19 September 2014. The Conference was part of the inter-university study program on "Christianity in Asia" European Summer School – Intensive Study Program. The lecture was given by Ms Maria Sidiropoulou (M. Th. Student – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. OCP thus became one of the first ever Pan-Orthodox organization to be researched and studied at academic universities.[ citation needed ]

Marthoma Residential School (MTRS) is a co-educational institution located at Kuttapuzha, in the town of Tiruvalla, Kerala, India, 1 km from the town centre. It is affiliated to the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and follows the ICSE syllabus. Another school called Marthoma Central School is also functioning in the same campus. Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS), with campuses at Thiruvananthapuram and Pala in Kerala, India, is a research level institution devoted to mathematics and other related disciplines like statistics, theoretical physics, computer and information sciences. The Centre was incorporated in 1977 as a non-profit scientific research and training centre under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955. The driving force behind the establishment of the Centre was Prof. Aleyamma George, who had been Professor and Head of the Department of Statistics of University of Kerala. Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM) is a government organization under Department of Information Technology, Kerala. Its headquarters is at Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of the state Kerala. It also has another office at Kochi to conduct various training programs and offers support facilities for IT/ITeS companies in the budding stage. Diocese of Madhya Kerala of the Church of South India

The Madhya Kerala Diocese is one of the twenty-four dioceses of the Church of South India covering the central part of Kerala. When the Church of South India was formed on 27 September 1947 the diocese was called the Diocese of Central Travancore. It was a part of the erstwhile Anglican Diocese of Travancore and Cochin founded in 1879. The Diocese was later renamed as Diocese of Madhya Kerala.

College of Engineering, Aranmula

The College of Engineering, Aranmula (AEC) is a college in Aranmula, Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India. It is affiliated with the Kerala Technological University (KTU).It was founded in 2014, as part of the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE).It is the 8th Engineering College under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education. Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pattoor is established in the year 2002 by Sree Buddha Educational Society, Kollam, which is registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act, 1955. It is located at Pattoor, near Padanilam in Alappuzha district, Kerala, India. The college which began its stride with three B.Tech programs in 2002, now offers B.Tech/ M.Tech/PhD programs in six branches of Engineering and Technology.

The Kerala Books and Publications Society is a society owned by the Government of Kerala headquartered at Kakkanad, Kochi. It is registered under the Travancore - Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Society registration Act, 1955. It was established for printing the entire textbooks of SCERT syllabus required by the school children in the state and is functioning on a no loss no profit basis.

Guild of Indian English Writers Editors and Critics

Guild of Indian English Writers Editors and Critics is a literary forum of Indian writers in English. It was established on 24 September 2010 at Thodupuzha, Kerala, India. It was registered on 13 October 2010 and its Head Office is functioning at the residence of the Secretary, Dr. K. V. Dominic at Thodupuzha, Kerala. The guild honoured Literary legends, Shri Jayanta Mahapatra and Shri Ashokamitran and Justice Shri V. R. Krishna Iyer in the literary festivals organised by the guild.

Oriental Orthodoxy in North America

Oriental Orthodoxy in North America represents adherents, religious communities, institutions and organizations of Oriental Orthodox Christianity in North America, including the United States, Canada, Mexico and other North American states. Oriental Orthodox Christians in North America are traditionally organized in accordance with their patrimonial ecclesiastical jurisdictions, with each community having its own structure of dioceses and parishes. Most Oriental Orthodox Christians in North America belong to Armenian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Indian, Syriac and some other communities, representing religious majority or minority within a particular community. Oriental Orthodox jurisdictions are organized within the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches.

Indian Veterinary Association - Kerala is a professional organisation of Veterinarians working or residing in Kerala. It was founded in the year 1978, and at present it has around 2200 member veterinarians with units in all the 14 districts of Kerala and the two veterinary colleges under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University.
