Os is one of three parishes in the municipality of Rakkestad in southeastern Norway.
The parish was separated from Rakkestad parish in about 1878. [1] The parish, between Rakkestad village and Glomma, forms the northwestern part of the municipality, and covers an area of about 44 square kilometres (17 sq mi). [2]

It follows a more eastern route than the Østfold Line, with which it adjoins at both Ski Station and Sarpsborg Station, serving the Indre Østfold district. The line is single track and electrified. The Eastern Line serves the hourly L22 lines of the Oslo Commuter Rail, operated by the Norwegian State Railways. There is no regular traffic south of Rakkestad Station, although the line can be used for freight trains when the Western Line is closed.
