Osman Arslan (born December 21, 1942, in Kalecik, Ankara, Turkey) is a high ranked Turkish judge and currently the First President of the Court of Cassation of Turkey.

Kilij Arslan ibn Suleiman (‎1079–1107) was the Seljuq Sultan of Rum from 1092 until his death in 1107. He ruled the Sultanate during the time of the First Crusade and thus faced the earliest attacks from Christian forces. Alparslan Arslan was a Turkish career criminal, convicted of murdering Council of State member, Mustafa Yücel Özbilgin, and wounding four others. Gece Yolculuğu is a 1987 Turkish drama film, written, co-produced, and directed by Ömer Kavur, featuring Aytaç Arman as a screenwriter traveling with his business partner around the Turkish and Greek countryside in search of a filming location which will inspire him. The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 41st Cannes Film Festival and was screened in competition at the 25th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, where it won Golden Oranges for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography.

The Turkish Council of State shooting occurred on 17 May 2006. Alparslan Arslan entered the Council of State building in Ankara and shot five judges, killing judge Mustafa Yücel Özbilgin. Arslan was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008.
