Osubi is a town in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta state, southern Nigeria. The population is approximately over 8000 people.
Osubi Airport is located in Osubi. There is a rapid infrastructural development around the airport region due to the closeness and prominence to the Niger Delta oil-producing area of Nigeria.
The Osubi community has a democratically elected board of trustees. The board is headed by Chief Okakuro (Councillor), PA Gbinije and Anthony Agbude. ('Members of the Traditional Ruling Council of Okpe Kingdom, headed by his majesty H.R.M. Orhue I, King of Okpe). Amongst other members, the board of trustees duties are to ensure democracy, equality and economic growth of the community.
Revenue is generated from the proceeds of sales and lease of the vast landed properties for domestic construction, agricultural and industrial use. Land mass had been allocated in the past to dredging and potentially other natural mineral resources prospects. Typically, revenue is re-invested back into the community through carrying out projects of social economic growth for the benefit of the community.[citation needed]
As an ongoing process the community had been able to provide electricity, roads, and redevelopment of its market place. A town hall was also provided at the town centre.
The Delta State Trade Fair Complex is located within Osubi.

Udu is a Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria with its local government headquarters at Otor-Udu. It has a population estimate of approximately 250,000 people. It is one of the Urhobo kingdoms, has its own king, or ovie. The town is about 10 minutes drive from Osubi Airport
Okpe is a kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria. Today, it is also the name of a local government area. It is one of the many kingdoms that make up Urhobo nation. Its capital is Orerokpe. The kingdom plays host to the Osubi Airport, which is actually located at Osubi and the Delta State Trade Fair Complex. The Orodje celebrated ten years on ancestral throne. Major General Felix Mujakperuo is the king of Okpe Kingdom. The kingship is usually rotated between the four ruling houses.

Effurun is a town and the headquarters of Uvwie Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria. It is an Urban center, densely populated with different infrastructural development. it borders its twin city Warri, also serves as an entrance to Warri.

The Urhobos are people located in southern Nigeria, near the northwestern Niger Delta.
Onogbokor is an Isoko-speaking town in the Ndokwa East Local Government Area (LGA), Delta State, Nigeria. Until the creation of Delta State in 1991, it was formerly with the Ndoshimili LGA with headquarters located in Kwale, in the defunct Bendel state. It shares common boundaries with Iyede-Ame in the south, Igeh to the east, Umuolu and Itebiege to the north and Akara-etiti on the west. The town has three quarters: Ushie, Ogbe-ekpako and Ove. Inhabitants of the town dominantly speak the Isoko dialect with few migrant Ụkwụànì speakers. They intermarry Ụkwụànìs, Ijaws and other tribes. As a clan, it has four communities: Ewo-Okpe community, Okporo community, Ewo-eboy community and Obere community. There are migrants from neighbouring nearby communities and pockets of Ijaw fishermen and Hausa petty traders in the clan.
The Agbon Kingdom is one of twenty-four subunits of the Urhobo people that have been in existence since before the rise of the Benin Empire in the 1440s and before the arrival of the Portuguese in the Western Niger Delta in the 1480s.
According to the language family tree classification by Ethnologue, Okpe, Urhobo and Uvwie, alongside Eruwa and Isoko, make up the five Southwestern Edoid languages of the Benue-Congo group. Quoting Johnstone (1993), Ethnologue puts the population of Urhobo people at 546,000, Okpe 25,400 (2000) and Uvwie 19,800 (2000). These three languages have geographically neighbouring languages: Izon and Itsekiri to the west and south, Ukwuani and Isoko to the east and Edo to the north. Thus, Isoko and Urhobo are similar languages that belong to the same linguistic family.
Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori is a Nigerian politician who is the current Governor of Delta State. He is the immediate past Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly as a representative of the Okpe Constituency of Delta State under the People's Democratic Party (Nigeria). He was declared the governor elect of Delta state on 20 March 2023 after winning the gubernatorial elections that was conducted on 18 March 2023.
