Oswald Bruno Nazareth was a Pakistani high school teacher.
Born a Roman Catholic Christian, Nazareth belonged to the Goan community of Pakistan. [1]
A keen sportsman, he drafted the constitution of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and was its first Secretary. In 1948, he was Assistant Manager representing the Pakistan Hockey team at the London Olympics. [2]
During 50 years of service as a teacher in St. Patrick's High School, Nazareth taught many distinguished students including the former Indian BJP President L.K. Advani, [3] former prime minister Muhammad Khan Junejo, former president Pervez Musharraf and former Chief of Army Staff Jehangir Karamat. His other students included cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests, federal and provincial ministers, chief justices, judges of the supreme and high courts, industrialists and sportsmen. [4] [5]
He also served on the Advisory Board of the St. Vincent's Home for the Aged, Karachi, in the 1970s.[ citation needed ]
In September 1986 the ex-students of St. Patrick's organised "A Tribute to O.B. Nazareth", held at the Hotel Sheraton and attended by 500 students and their spouses. The group called Nazareth "one of the most popular teachers of his time".[ citation needed ]
He died in Karachi in April 1998.
On 6 May 2011, at the closing ceremony of the 150th anniversary of the school, the Old Patricians (former students of the school) presented the O.B. Nazareth Gold Medal to the top student from the Science section. [6]

Geoffrey Douglas Langlands CMG, MBE, HI, SPk was a British educationalist who spent most of his life teaching in and leading schools in Pakistan, instructing many of the country's elite. In World War II he served as a Major in the British Army, and afterwards in the British Indian Army, where he worked to keep the peace during the partition of the British Indian Empire in 1947. He transferred to the Pakistani Army at the birth of the country, and returned to a career in education, first of army officers. Then, at the invitation of the President, he joined the so-called "Eton of Pakistan", Aitchison College in Lahore. After 25 years there, he left to lead a military high school, Cadet College Razmak. He ended his career by taking on a new school in Chitral and raising it to internationally high standards; he continued to lead it into his 90s, when it was renamed in his honour Langlands School and College.
