Otmara Marrero is an American actress. She is known for the NBC series Connecting... , [1] 2019's Clementine , [2] and Crackle's 2016 series StartUp . [3]

Early life

Marrero was born in Miami, Florida, to a Cuban American family, [4] and raised in Hialeah. [3] She was a dancer for the Miami Marlins. [5]

Career

Marrero's first onscreen role was a small part in a season 3 episode of USA Network's Graceland. [6] Her performance in Damian Fitzsimmons' Off the Rails earned her a Commendation award at the Liverpool International Film Festival, [7] while she won a breakthrough award at the Downtown LA film festival for her performance in Clementine. [8] She filmed her part in Connecting... at home. [9]

StartUp is an American streaming television crime drama series created by Ben Ketai that premiered on September 6, 2016, on Crackle. The series stars Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi, Otmara Marrero, Martin Freeman, Ron Perlman, Addison Timlin, and Mira Sorvino. On November 15, 2017, the series was renewed for a third season which was released on November 1, 2018. The show was not renewed for a fourth season and, while never officially canceled, it is generally assumed to have ended.

Florida Man is an upcoming American streaming television series created by Donald Todd, who serves as an executive producer alongside Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Miguel Arteta. It stars Édgar Ramírez as an ex-cop who is sent back to his home state of Florida to solve a case. Anthony LaPaglia, Abbey Lee, Otmara Marrero, Lex Scott Davis, Emory Cohen, and Isaiah Johnson also star in main roles. The series was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina.
