The Automotive Manufacturers Association (Turkish : Otomotiv Sanayii Dernegi) is a Turkish industry trade group, which represents the Turkish automotive industry.

It was established as the "Association of the Manufacturers of Land Vehicles, Trucks, Pickup Trucks, Buses and Automobiles" on 14 June 1974, with eleven members. The association changed to the present name on 7 November 1979. [1]

A midibus is a classification of single-decker minibuses which are generally larger than a traditional minibus but smaller than a full-size single decker and can be anywhere between 8 metres and 11 metres long. While used in many parts of the world, the midibus is perhaps most common in the United Kingdom, where operators have found them more economical, and to have a sufficient number of seats compared to full size single-decker buses.

Automotive industry in Pakistan Overview of the automotive industry in Pakistan

The automotive industry in Pakistan is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, growing by 171% between just 2014 and 2018. It accounts for 3% of Pakistan's GDP and employs a workforce of over 3.5 million people as of 2018. Pakistan is the 35th largest producer of automotives. Its contribution to the national exchequer is nearly 50 billion (US$310 million). Pakistan's auto market is among the smallest, but fastest-growing in Asia. 269,792 cars were sold in the year 2018, but declined to 186,716 in 2019 as a result of austerity measures. At present, the auto market is dominated by Honda, Toyota and Suzuki. However, on 19 March 2016, Pakistan passed the "Auto Policy 2016-21", which offers tax incentives to new automakers to establish manufacturing plants in the country. In response, Renault, Nissan, Proton Holdings, Kia, SsangYong, Volkswagen, FAW and Hyundai have expressed interest in entering the Pakistani market. MG JW Automobile Pakistan has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Morris Garages (MG) Motor UK Limited, owned by SAIC Motor to bring electric vehicles in Pakistan. NLC signed an agreement with Mercedes Benz for the manufacturing of Mercedes Actros trucks in Pakistan. Pakistan has not enforced any automotive safety standards or model upgrade policies. A few old models of vehicles including the Bolan and Ravi continue to be sold by Suzuki. On 8 July 2021, Jolta Electric launched production of electric motorcycles.

Askam (trucks)

ASKAM was a subsidiary of Çiftçiler Holdings and a manufacturer of trucks and commercial vehicles in Turkey. It sold Fargo and Desoto trucks.

The Hyundai Assan Otomotiv San ve Tic. A.Ş. is an automotive company based in Kozyatagi, Istanbul, Turkey, established at the end of 1994, as a joint venture between the Hyundai Motor Company of South Korea and the Kibar Holding of Turkey. It is operating a manufacturing plant located in İzmit, Turkey that was opened in September 1997 and produces Hyundai automobiles and commercial vehicles.

Peugeot J9 Motor vehicle

The Peugeot J9 is a van manufactured by Peugeot from January 1981 until 1991. It was also manufactured under license by Karsan, in Turkey, from 1981 until 2010. It was facelifted in 1991, and in 2006, Karsan released the restyled J9 Premier. Production ended in 2010 when the J9 was replaced by the closely related Karsan J10.

The Amsterdam International Motor Show or AutoRAI was a motor show that took place every two years in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The history of the AutoRAI goes back to 1893, when the bicycle exhibition was established. The first RAI exhibition was organised there in 1895.

Automotive industry in the Philippines Overview of the automotive industry in the Philippines

The automotive industry in the Philippines is the 9th largest in the Asia-Pacific region, with approximately 273.4 thousand vehicles sold in 2019. Most of the vehicles sold and built in the Philippines are from foreign brands, for the most part, the Philippines is dominated by Japanese automobile manufacturers like most of its ASEAN neighbors. The automobile production in the country is covered under the Philippine Motor Vehicle Development Program being implemented by the Board of Investments. In addition, there are also a small number of independent firms who assemble and fabricate jeepneys and other similar vehicles, using surplus engines and drivetrain parts mostly from Japan.
