Otto Josef Hofer (born 28 June 1944) is a Swiss equestrian. He won an individual bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and a silver medal with the Swiss team. He won a silver medal with the Swiss team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. [1]

He competed in equestrian at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, where he won a silver medal in the team competition in eventing. Rothe died in a car accident in 1970.
