Oval Park (also known as Lincoln Oval Village or simply The Oval) is a neighborhood in Visalia, California.
Oval Park is Visalia's oldest neighborhood.
The first high school in Visalia was located on what is now the Lincoln Oval Park.
Webster Grammar School was located in the West Village on Northwest Third Avenue near Pearl Street. It opened in 1917. In 1950, the building was declared unsafe as a school and was later converted into a maintenance shop and storage building. In 1961, fire damaged the structure beyond repair. The Visalia Police Department Substation now sits on the site. [1]
According to the Oval Park Historical Society (OPHS) There are no official boundaries for Visalia's Oval Park neighborhood. It is documented that the western part of Oval Park was separated from its eastern section by the construction of highway 63. Also, Murray Avenue cut off a large southern section of the neighborhood on its most southern part. History proves, however, that there are some general boundaries:

Northern Boundary: Houston Avenue
Eastern Boundary: Santa Fe Street
Southern Boundary: Murray Avenue
Oval Park itself consists, in whole or in part, of the neighborhoods of Oval Park (the area immediately surrounding the park), Visalia Heights, the East Village and the West Village.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno operates George McCann Memorial School, located at 200 East Race Street.
The Visalia Branch Tulare County Public Library serves the area.
South Park is a broad post-World War II development in the south-central area of Houston, Texas, a few miles south of MacGregor Park and directly south of the 610 Loop. According to the 2000 Census, the community has a population of 22,282. 81% of the South Park population is African American, compared to 25% for the city as a whole. Houston's Martin Luther King Boulevard runs through the area. Reflecting its postwar origins, many streets in South Park are named after World War II battle sites and persons. In the 1980s and 1990s crime became a key issue for South Park. Katharine Shilcutt of the Houston Press said "South Park is an overgrown garden these days, its soil only able to be tilled by the most determined or the most desperate. It shows no sign that it will grow again any time in the near future."
Montrose is an area located in west-central Houston, Texas, United States and is one of the city's major cultural areas. Montrose is a 7.5 square miles (19 km2) area roughly bounded by Interstate 69/U.S. Highway 59 to the south, Allen Parkway to the north, South Shepherd Drive to the west, and Taft to Fairview to Bagby to Highway 59 to Main to the east. Montrose neighborhoods include Cherryhurst, Courtlandt Place, Hyde Park, Montrose, Vermont Commons, North and East Montrose, Mandell Place and Winlow Place. Lincoln Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California. It is a densely populated, youthful area that has a high percentage of Latino, Asian, and Pacific Islander residents. It includes several historic or notable landmarks.
Midtown is a central neighborhood of Houston, located west-southwest of Downtown. Visalia Heights is a third of the Oval Park district of Visalia, California. It is most notable for its impressive well-kept Victorian era residences, although these are small in number.
West End is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas, United States located along the Washington Avenue Corridor.
Hyde Park is a historic community located in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston, Texas. Its southeast boundary is the intersection Montrose Boulevard and Westheimer. The neighborhood was established in the late 1800s on the summer farm of the second President of the Republic of Texas, Mirabeau Lamar. In the 1970s, Hyde Park became a central part of the Gay Rights Movement in Houston. Like much of Montrose, the neighborhood is now experiencing significant gentrification, and is home to an abundance of restaurants, including Mexican, Italian, Greek, American, Lebanese, coffee houses, and numerous bars.
