Background and synopsis

Shot in London, United States and premiered in Nigeria on 18 December 2015, Oxford Gardens was released as a collaborative work between Obi Emelonye and M-Net through Africa Magic Original Films. [3] It is a boxing-themed film centred on luck, love and redemption. [4]

Shot in Lagos, the film received 5 nominations at the 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards, winning the category "Best film by an African based abroad". On 15 June 2020, 'Last Flight To Abuja' began streaming on Netflix eight years after it first premiered in London.

Femi Jacobs is a Nigerian actor, speaker and singer. He came into prominence for playing Makinde Esho in the film The Meeting, which also stars Rita Dominic and Jide Kosoko. For his role in The Meeting, he received a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards. He also won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).
