Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai ; known mononymously as Shobana, is an Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer, who works predominantly in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. She is a recipient of two National Film Awards, one Kerala State Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. In 2011, Shobana received the Kalaimamani by Tamil Nadu Government. She established herself as one of the leading South Indian actresses of her time.

M. P. Michael, better known by his stage name Lal, is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter, producer and distributor who predominantly works in Malayalam and Tamil films and in a few Telugu films. Lal has won several awards, including a National Film Award – Special Mention for acting (2012), two Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, and a Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Malayalam (2008). Aravindan. Since then, she has appeared in over 60 films. She won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actress for her role in the 1974 film Swapnadanam.

Kuruvilla and co-produced by Kunchacko Boban Productions and Udaya Pictures. The film stars Kunchacko Boban and Gayathrie Shankar. The music was composed by Dawn Vincent. The story revolves around Kozhummal Rajeevan, a reformed thief's fight for justice when an innocent act to defend himself places him in loggerheads with the high and mighty of society.
The 46th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best Malayalam films released in 2022, were announced in May 2023.
The 11th South Indian International Movie Awards is an awards event that took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 15–16 September 2023. The ceremony recognized and honored the best films and performances from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films and music released in 2022, along with special honours for lifetime contributions and a few special awards.
SIIMA Critics Award for Best Actor – Malayalam is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for best acting done by an actor in Malayalam films, who are selected by the jury. The award was first given in 2013 for films released in 2012.
Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval is an Indian film director, screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He made his debut cinema with Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, released on 8 November 2019. His films include Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham, Nna Thaan Case Kodu, Madanolsavam. He won Best Screen play award in 53rd Kerala state film awards for the film Nna Thaan Case Kodu.
