PIA Planetarium is a planetarium based in Peshawar. It was inaugurated on April 2, 2011 by the then Minister of Information, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Iftikhar Hussain. [1] It is established and worked by the Pakistan International Airlines. It is the third planetarium operated by the PIA in Pakistan, the total cost being roughly 900,000$ at the time. [2]
Locals have reported that the planetarium is neglected with most of the rooms being empty, full of cobwebs and the videos that are being used were made in the 1980s. [3]
