The College of Law of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) in Manila, Philippines is one of the two Professional schools of the University. [1] Its current dean is Ernesto P. Maceda Jr., former Vice Mayor and City Councilor of Manila. It is located in Gusaling Katipunan.

Bounded by the South China Sea on the west, the Philippine Sea on the east and the Celebes Sea on the southwest, the Philippines shares maritime borders with Taiwan to the north, Vietnam to the west, Palau to the east, and Malaysia and Indonesia to the south.

Faculty

High-profile legal personalities have joined the College of Law teaching staff, like former Senator Ernesto Maceda in the legislation and public governance and lawyer Katrina Legarda for family law. [2] Also part of the faculty is former Dean and Acting University President Jose M. Roy III, who served as Commissioner and Executive Director of the Preparatory Commission on Constitutional Reforms. Ernesto Maceda Filipino politician

Ernesto "Ernie" Madarang Maceda was a Filipino politician, lawyer, and columnist who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 1971 to 1972 and again from 1987 to 1998. He served as Senate President from 1996 to 1998.

Katrina Legarda is a prominent Filipino lawyer who specializes in family law, and is an advocate of the rights of women and children.

Admission

An applicant who passes the Admission Test will be informed of the date of interview. Non-response within five days and/or his/her non-appearance will cause forfeiture of slot in the College. The Committee on Admission reserves the right to deny the admission of an applicant if the above requirements and all other admission criteria are not satisfactorily complied with.

Admission decision will be based on the result of the evaluation of all the required documents, as well as the entrance examination and the interview. The Committee on Admission shall submit to the Dean of the College its recommendation for his review and final recommendation to the President of the University. Any evidence of fraud, misrepresentation, or non-disclosure by the applicant of any information relative to the requirements shall be ground for the cancellation of his admission or enrollment.

PLM Graduate School of Law

The Graduate School of Law of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is one of the eight graduate schools of the university. It was launched on July 7, 2004 at the Manila Hotel, with former Undersecretary of the Department of Justice, Atty. Ernesto L. Pineda, as its first dean. Currently, former Supreme Court's Second Division Chairman Justice Angelina G. Sandoval-Gutierrez sits as the dean of the Graduate School of Law.

University of Cabuyao

The University of Cabuyao is a university in Cabuyao City, province of Laguna, Philippines. It was founded by then Mayor Etok Aguillo, through the enactment of Municipal Ordinance 2003-059 approved on April 16, 2003.

Established in 1982, the PLM Rondalla is the official and premiere musical ensemble of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. It is one of the groups sponsored and run by the PLM President’s Committee on Culture and the Arts. Together with the Hiyas ng Maynilad Dance Troupe, this musical ensemble provides accompaniment for the dance company and guests in numerous cultural shows, concerts and awards’ nights.

The President of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is the principal executive officer of the University of the City of Manila. The office was created by the Republic Act 4196, which is today's University Charter.

University of the City of Manila

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila or University of the City of Manila is a city government funded and tuition-free local university situated inside the historic walled area of Intramuros, Manila, Philippines. It was established on June 19, 1965 and opened on July 17, 1967 to 556 scholars, all coming from the top ten percent of graduates of Manila's public high schools.

The Universidad de San Ignacio was a university in the city of Manila which existed during the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines.
