PS 22 is a public elementary school in Graniteville, Staten Island, New York City. Located at 1860 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10303, the school has over one thousand students in grades Pre-K to K-5 and has a dual language program. PS 22 is the largest elementary school in Staten Island which draws students from a wide cross section of ethnic groups and socio-economic levels.

The school has become famous for its PS22 Chorus program founded in 2000 by the school's music teacher, Gregg Breinberg. [1] The choir has become an internet phenomenon with New York magazine calling it "the best-known elementary-school chorus on the planet". [2]

PS 184M Shuang Wen School, a public school in New York City also known as PS 184, is a Dual Language elementary and middle school located in Manhattan's Chinatown. The school teaches students from Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade. It is a part of the New York City Department of Education and located in Manhattan District 1 which also includes the Lower East Side and East Village. A major $1.7 million renovation of the school playground and soccer field was completed in 2019 by the Trust for Public Land and DEP. In the elementary school, the school teaches in Traditional Chinese and utilizes the zhuyin phonetic system popular in Taiwan. During the typical school day, one day is taught in English and other day is in Mandarin. As a Dual Language school, classes in both languages are a mandatory part of the curriculum.

The PS22 Chorus, directed by Gregg Breinberg, is a Webby Award-winning public elementary school chorus from PS 22 in Graniteville, Staten Island, New York City. It is composed of 60-70 fifth-graders. PS 22 is the largest elementary school in Staten Island. PS22 Chorus has performed with a multitude of musical acts and has had celebrated appearances on numerous national and international broadcasts throughout the years, after its videos had gained worldwide attention within the popular video-sharing site YouTube. To date, the chorus's YouTube videos have been watched more than 100 million times.

The Church of Our Lady Help of Christians is a parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York City. The church was established in 1890 as a mission of St. Joseph's Church (Rossville) and became an independent parish in 1898. Its first church building was constructed later that year. It burned down in 1985 and was rebuilt in 1990.
