Banknotes of the Philippine peso are issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for circulation in the Philippines. The smallest amount of legal tender in wide circulation is ₱20 and the largest is ₱1000. The front side of each banknote features prominent people along with buildings, and events in the country's history while the reverse side depicts landmarks and animals.
A human rainbow is where a group of people form a pattern on the ground by placing themselves in the typical characteristics of a rainbow. The Oblation Run is an annual event held by the University of the Philippines (UP) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) chapters of Alpha Phi Omega (APO) on the PUP and different UP campuses. The runners are male, and traditionally run completely naked in public places, with their genitals fully visible, on a designated route. The event was first organized in 1977 at the University of the Philippines Diliman to promote Hubad na Bayani, a film. It draws its name from the Oblation, a statue of a nude man located in every University of the Philippines campus, which symbolizes "a selfless offering of one's self to the country." The event is usually done on December 16, and serves as a protest to contemporary national issues.

The Philippine Historical Association is a professional association of historians in the Philippines and is considered one of the oldest organizations of historians in the country. It was founded on September 18, 1955 by a group of prominent historians at Carbungco Restaurant located at Lepanto St., Manila. He was one of the authors of the iconic Tagalog literature anthology Mga Agos sa Disyerto in the 1960s. The Manila Hotel is a 550-room, historic five-star hotel located along Manila Bay in Manila, Philippines. The hotel is the oldest premiere hotel in the Philippines built in 1909 to rival Malacañang Palace, the official residence of the President of the Philippines and was opened on the commemoration of American Independence on July 4, 1912. The hotel complex was built on a reclaimed area of 35,000 square metres (380,000 sq ft) at the northwestern end of Rizal Park along Bonifacio Drive in Ermita. Its penthouse served as the residence of General Douglas MacArthur during his tenure as the Military Advisor of the Philippine Commonwealth from 1935 to 1941.
Polytechnic University of the Philippines is a research coeducational state university in Manila, Philippines. It was founded on 19 October 1904, as the Manila Business School (MBS) and as part of Manila's public school system. It was eventually promoted to a chartered state university in 1978, by virtue of Presidential Decree 1341. PUP has more than 20 branches and campuses across Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and Metro Manila. With over 70,000 enrolled students, PUP claims to be the largest state university in the Philippines by student population.
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines Laboratory High School, abbreviated as PUPLHS, is the laboratory school of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Education located in PUP Mabini Campus, Sta. Mesa, Manila. It was established in 1954 as the Philippine College of Commerce High School offering commercial courses, and is the first high school to offer commercial curriculum in the Philippines. The school has a student population of 541 in 2015.
Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santo Tomas, officially as Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Santo Tomas, Batangas Branch (PUP–STB) is one of the branch campuses of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines located in Santo Tomas, Batangas. PUP–STB was established through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between former PUP President Nemesio Prudente and the Municipal Government of Santo Tomas under Leopoldo Laurel Jr. in 1991. PUP–STB is the only academic institution in Santo Tomas which acts as the community college and serves other municipalities in Batangas and Laguna province.
