Highline Big Picture is a small school in the Highline School District in SeaTac, Washington, that is part of a network of Big Picture schools all over the United States. The high school opened 2005 with 2009 being the first year with a graduating class. At Highline Big Picture the 9th graders are called 101's, 10th graders 201's, 11th graders 301's and 12th graders 401's. Highline Big Picture, as part of the Big Picture Network, practices Learning Through Internships or LTI. On Tuesdays and Thursdays students go to internships in their field of interest. The school currently consists of 120 students. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays students attend one class a day which contains, at most, 17 students. These classes are called an advisory.
San Carlos High School was a high school operated by the Sequoia Union High School District in San Carlos, California, United States, from 1960 until 1982. Originally founded due to increasing enrollment across Belmont, San Carlos, and Redwood City, by 1982, the high school suffered from low enrollment due to racial protests between local students and students bused in from East Palo Alto, which led the district to close the site. The campus was demolished in 1988, and is today the site of Highlands Park and a subdivision of luxury homes in the San Carlos hills.
Sun Valley High School is a four-year high school in Sun Valley, Los Angeles. It is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The principal of the school is Clara Herran. Sun Valley High School is home to over 600 students and 24 staff members and offers Project Lead the Way Engineering and a Media Arts/Film Production program along with Advanced Placement courses. The schools athletic teams are known as the Wildcats.
San Francisco Waldorf School (SFWHS) is an independent preK–12 school in San Francisco, California. The school is based on the principles of Waldorf education. The kindergarten and grade school are located at 2938 Washington Street and the high school is located at 470 West Portal Avenue. About 50% of students at the high school also attended the grade school, the rest coming from public, parochial, and other independent schools. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).
