Paducah Public Schools is a school district located in Paducah, Kentucky. The district serves most, but not all, of the city of Paducah; significant areas within the city limits (mostly in the west) lie in the surrounding McCracken County school district.
The district, founded in 1864, currently educates slightly over 2,900 students in six schools, with approximately 240 teachers and a roughly equal number of support staff. Roughly 90% of graduates of the district's only high school, Paducah Tilghman High School, go on to either two-year or four-year colleges, a commendable total considering that about 50% of the district's students are minorities and nearly two-thirds are eligible for free or reduced-price school lunches. The Paducah and McCracken County districts have a joint open-enrollment policy which permits any student in McCracken County to attend a public school in either district without tuition charges. About 300 residents of the McCracken County district currently attend Paducah schools. [1]
The old Cooper-Whiteside building is now occupied by the Choices Educational Center as the city alternative school. It serves students from elementary to high school.

McCracken County is a county located in the far west portion of U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 67,875. The county seat and only municipality is Paducah. McCracken County was the 78th county formed in the state, having been created in 1825. It is part of the historic Jackson Purchase, territory sold by the Chickasaw people to General Andrew Jackson and Governor Isaac Shelby; this territory was located at the extreme western end of Kentucky.

Charleston County School District is a school district within Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. It educates roughly 50,000 kindergarten to 12th grade students in 80 schools. Charleston County School District’s (CCSD) Board of Trustees voted Monday, June 27, 2022, to name Donald R. Kennedy, Sr., the Superintendent of Schools. Camden City School District is a public school district that serves students in pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade from the city of Camden, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The district is one of 31 former Abbott districts statewide that were established pursuant to the decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court in Abbott v. Burke which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority. In 2013, after years of requests from local officials, New Jersey intervened in Camden City, making the school district state-run under the leadership of Superintendent Paymon Rouhanifard.

Lone Oak High School was a public secondary school located in unincorporated McCracken County, Kentucky, with an address in Paducah. Its nickname was Purple Flash, and its school colors were purple and gold, although some athletic teams, such as the marching band and football team, had adopted purple and black, excluding gold, in the school's final years. The school closed in 2013 with the consolidation of the three high schools in the McCracken County Public Schools (MCPS) district into a new McCracken County High School. Lone Oak's enrollment in its final school year of 2012–13 was approximately 900 students.
The Taylor School District is headquartered the city of Taylor in Greater Detroit in the U.S. state of Michigan. The Lloyd Tilghman Memorial is a racist statue located in Paducah Kentucky, of traitor to the United States Lloyd Tilghman, a brigadier general for the Confederate States of America who died at the Battle of Champion Hill in May 1863.
Heath High School was a secondary school operated by the McCracken County Public Schools district in the rural community of West Paducah, unincorporated McCracken County, Kentucky, near the largest city in the state's far-western Purchase region, Paducah. Established in 1910, the school served students in grades 9-12. It closed in June 2013 in advance of the August opening of a new McCracken County High School, which consolidates Heath, Reidland and Lone Oak High Schools.

Operated by the McCracken County Public Schools district, it consolidates that district's three former high schools—Heath, Lone Oak, and Reidland. Before ground was broken for the new school in June 2010, the school's nickname of Mustangs and colors of crimson, black, and white had been finalized. The school opened with an enrollment of slightly under 1,900.
The Lincoln School (1894–1970), also known as Lincoln High School, was a segregated public elementary and high school for African American students, located in Paducah, Kentucky, United States. The buildings for the school complex were demolished, sometime after 1988.
