Pair-A-Dice was an American Glam metal band founded in 1986 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The band was active until 1990, with a brief reunion in 2008 at Rocklohoma music festival, the band featured Dave Marshall on guitar, who went on to play with Vince Neil and Michael Jackson.
1986 - 1990
Pair-A-Dice was formed in 1986 by founding members Nick Masella (Bass) and Chris Lewin (Guitar) they brought in vocalist Paul Lancia and Daz Bash (Drums) [1] the band quickly started to build a following on the Sunset Strip playing shows with Poison and Warrant. The band added a second guitar player Billy D'Vette [2] Chris Lewin had to leave the band for legal reasons and was replaced by Rich Carr in Nov 1987 but was short lived and the band brought in Dave Marshall in April of 1988. The band recorded a 4 song demo in that year that was produced by Pair-A-Dice with some input from Robbin Crosby (Ratt)
The band was featured on MTV and played with many of L.A.'s hottest Sunset Strip bands like Warrant, Tuff, Bang Tango, Hurricane, and many more. There were two bands with similar names playing the Strip at this time that created a bit of a controversy. One was Paradise, the other was Pair-A-Dice. [3] In 1989 the band did a short tour of Japan with Jetboy. Shortly after the return from Japan lead singer Paul Lancia left to start a solo career with his band called Lancia. [1] Billy D'Vette took over as the lead singer and the band continued for a short time but Dave Marshall was asked to join Brunette and the band parted ways. Billy D'Vette later replaced Marc Ferrari in Cold Sweat. [4] Dave Marshall joined Fiona to record the album Squeeze in 1991. He then joined Vince Neil's (Mötley Crüe) solo band [5] featuring Steve Stevens, Robbie Crane and Vik Foxx and toured with Van Halen. Daz Bash played drums for the Alice Cooper video "I Got a Line on You" for the movie Iron Eagle II.
2008 the band signed to Retrospect Records and released the demos from 1988 & 1989 this was followed up by a reunion of the band that played at Rocklahoma later that year. In 2014 the band signed with Demon Doll records and released "Midnight Train" [6] that included unreleased material from 1989.
The Obsessed is an American heavy metal band from Potomac, Maryland, led by Scott "Wino" Weinrich. The band combines elements of doom metal, stoner rock, and punk rock. Formed in 1980, they recorded a few demos and played a handful of live shows until they first split up in 1986 when Weinrich joined as lead vocalist for Saint Vitus, but reformed four years later. After releasing three albums, the Obsessed broke up for a second time in 1995. After briefly reuniting for some shows in 2012 and 2013, the Obsessed announced their third reunion in March 2016.

Paul Steven Bostaph is an American drummer, best known as a member of the thrash metal band Slayer, initially from 1992 to 2001 and again from 2013 to 2019. His drumming career began in 1984, when he was 20 years old, and other than Slayer, he has worked with other bands such as Forbidden, Exodus, Systematic, Testament, and BlackGates. Metal-Rules.com describes Bostaph as "a true professional and one of the best drummers on today's metal music scene".
Vio-lence is an American thrash metal band formed in 1985 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Throughout its existence, they released demo tapes, one EP and three studio albums. Vio-lence is best-known for their association with the 1980s Bay Area thrash metal scene, and often credited as one of the leading lights of the second wave of the genre, along with Pantera, Sepultura, Sacred Reich, Dark Angel, Annihilator and Flotsam and Jetsam as well as their Bay Area counterparts Testament, Death Angel and Forbidden. The band has also been referred to as one of the so-called "Big Six of Bay Area thrash metal", alongside Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Lȧȧz Rockit and Forbidden.
Keri Kelli is an American guitarist who has played with artists and groups including Alice Cooper, Slash, Jani Lane, Vince Neil and John Waite. In March 2013 he formed Project Rock together with James Kottak from the Scorpions. Project Rock consisted of Keri Kelli, James Kottak, Tim 'Ripper' Owens, Rudy Sarzo & Teddy Zig-Zag. Kelli is currently in the band Night Ranger.
Hirax is an American thrash metal band from Cypress, California. Starting in 1984 under the leadership of vocalist Katon W. De Pena, the band played in Los Angeles and San Francisco with several of their thrash metal peers such as Metallica, Exodus, and Slayer. The band was an early example of thrash metal, speed metal and crossover thrash, yet inspired by cross-genre influences including blues vocalist Sam Cooke, who De Pena once cited as "the greatest vocalist [De Pena] has ever heard."
John Corabi is an American hard rock singer and guitarist. He was the frontman of The Scream during 1989 and the frontman of Mötley Crüe between 1992 and 1996 during original frontman Vince Neil's hiatus from the band.
