Pale Silver & Shiny Gold is the second album from Swedish quintet Sad Day for Puppets, released on 1 September 2010. [1] "Sorrow, Sorrow" preceded the album as a single, [2] and was chosen as the single of the week by Drowned in Sound. [3]
The album received generally positive reviews. The Line of Best Fit said that the "ethereal charms" of their first album "now swirl with a cyclonic velocity that when combined with richer and fuller production make their early recordings feel like demos in comparison. From the opening doubled-barrelled vocal assault of the Eklund sisters on 'Sorrow, Sorrow' through to the closing blare of 'Tingle in my Hand', [the album] grabs you by the scruff of the neck and propels your through its curios like a runaway ghost train." [4] Arbetarbladet complimented the band for incorporating elements of 1970s rock, specifically from groups like Thin Lizzy, into their music while describing Martin Källholm as a "competent songwriter" and highlighting Anna Eklund's vocals. [5] Sydsvenskan commented: "The tunes are nice, but where are the messy guitars? For anyone who asked that question about Teenage Fanclub's comeback record, the answer may be that the rattling guitars ended up here, on Sad Day for Puppets' second album." [6]
Gaffa gave a mixed review, rating the album three stars out of six and saying that the sound is "somehow so familiar that it becomes jarring. It therefore feels nice when the consistently driving and ringing electric guitars are accompanied by an unexpected flute in one of the songs. The bottomless rocky guitars intrude on what is basically a catchy pop album, and pulls [my] rating down. I would like to change the settings on Sad Day for Puppet's amplifier, plug in some unusual power pedals, record the guitar backwards, do something that moves the sound away from what feels too 'classic' and done." The Cardigans are a Swedish rock band formed in Jönköping, Sweden, in 1992 by guitarist Peter Svensson, bassist Magnus Sveningsson, drummer Bengt Lagerberg, keyboardist Lars-Olof Johansson and lead singer Nina Persson. Post-hiatus shows since 2012 have been with Oskar Humlebo on guitar instead of Svensson.

The Change is the sixth studio album by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 10 October 2004 by Capitol Records in conjunction with Fredriksson's own independent record label Mary Jane/Amelia Music. It is her first and only English solo album, and was her first release after being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in 2002. Following the diagnosis and treatment, Fredriksson and her husband Mikael Bolyos began work on the album as a form of therapy in their home studio in Djursholm, Stockholm, with Bolyos acting as producer.

Gone is the sixth studio album by country music artist Dwight Yoakam. It rose as far up as #5 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. It produced three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: "Nothing" at No. 20, "Gone " at No. 51, and "Sorry You Asked?" at No. 59. The final single, "Heart of Stone", failed to chart in the United States. This was also the first album of his career not to produce a Top Ten country hit.
Christ And The Pale Queens Mighty In Sorrow is an album by the English group Current 93. Like Imperium it was made during a musical style shift between the earlier industrial sound of Current 93 and the current more neofolk inspired sound. It was originally released as an LP in 1988 on the Maldoror label, but was reissued as CD in 1989 and 1994.
The Nowhere Else to Roam was the concert tour by American heavy metal band Metallica, which took place in 1993 in support of their fifth studio album Metallica. This tour was the third part of the huge tour the started, after the Wherever We May Roam Tour and Guns N' Roses/Metallica Stadium Tour. The band played in 77 shows worldwide in three legs.
"Liquor Store Blues" is a song by American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars from his debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010), featuring Jamaican artist Damian Marley. It was released as the first promotional single from the record, on September 21, 2010 by Elektra Records. "Liquor Store Blues" is a reggae track with dub influences written by Mars, Phillip Lawrence, Ari Levine, Dwayne Chin-Quee, Mitchum Chin, Marley and Thomas Pentz. It was produced by the former three, under their alias, The Smeezingtons and Chin-Quee. Lyrically, the song addresses a way of avoiding problems by drinking with hope that afterwards everything will be fine.

"Jag kommer" is a single by Swedish singer Veronica Maggio, from her third studio album Satan i gatan. It was released in Sweden as a digital download on 11 February 2011. The song peaked at number one on the Swedish Singles Chart, making it Maggio's first number one single in Sweden. It also peaked at number 12 on the Norwegian Singles Chart. It received a 7x platinum certification in Sweden for over 300,000 copies sold. In 2019, Josefin Hansson covered the song in her audition for Swedish tv show Idol.
Unknown Colors is the debut studio album by Swedish quintet Sad Day for Puppets. It was initially released exclusively in Sweden on 28 October 2008 by independent label HaHa Fonogram, with a United Kingdom release following eight months later on 1 June 2009 via Sonic Cathedral Recordings. The UK edition contained two exclusive bonus tracks, "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" and "Saddest Cloud".
Travelling: Songs from Studios, Stages, Hotelrooms & Other Strange Places is the ninth studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 23 March 2012 by Roxette Recordings and Capitol. It is a direct sequel to their 1992 album Tourism. Unlike that album, which was recorded in numerous locations all over the world during the "Join the Joyride! Tour", Travelling was primarily recorded in Swedish studios in-between legs of "The Neverending World Tour". The album also contains three live recordings and four studio re-recordings of older songs, two of which were previously unreleased.
Unplugged: The Complete 1991 and 2001 Sessions is a 2014 live album from alternative rock band R.E.M., released initially on vinyl recordings through Rhino Records for Record Store Day, later made available on compact disc and digitally. The album is composed of two performances that the band made on the U.S. television show MTV Unplugged. Among the album's 33 tracks are 11 performances which were not aired on either broadcast. To promote the album, Mike Mills signed copies at independent record store Bull Moose in Scarborough, Maine. Video of the concerts was released later that year on REMTV.
Nu! is the eighth and final studio album by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 20 November 2013 by Parlophone in conjunction with Fredriksson's own label Amelia Music. It was her first album of original Swedish material since 1996's I en tid som var, and was produced by Fredriksson alongside her husband Mikael Bolyos and Christoffer Lundquist. The record contains writing contributions from Uno Svenningsson, Kenneth Gärdestad, Lustans Lakejer vocalist Johan Kinde, and Fredriksson's Roxette partner Per Gessle.
Seashores of Old Mexico is a studio album by Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. It is a sequel to their enormously successful 1983 duet album Pancho and Lefty and was released in 1987. They are backed by The Strangers. The only charting single was a cover of a 1979 Blaze Foley song, "If I Could Only Fly", which peaked at number 58 on the 1987 Billboard Hot Country Songs singles chart.
Joseph Michael "Shiny Joe" Ryan is an Australian psychedelic rock musician, singer and songwriter. He is the founding mainstay multi-instrumentalist and guitarist of Pond, which have released eight albums. Ryan issued a solo album, The Cosmic Microwave Background. He also does the visuals for fellow Australian band Tame Impala.
