Palmetto College is part of the University of South Carolina System. The college is made up of the five regional campuses: USC Lancaster, USC Salkehatchie, USC Sumter, and USC Union, and Palmetto College Columbia. Students who have 60 college credit hours can be admitted to Palmetto College and receive a bachelor's degree. The bachelor's degrees are offered through one of the four senior campuses of USC: USC Aiken, USC Beaufort, USC Columbia, or USC Upstate.
Palmetto College was funded by a $5M appropriation by the South Carolina General Assembly in 2012. In January 2013, Susan Elkins was named the first chancellor. Palmetto College officially started enrolling students on April 18, 2013. [1]

Paul M. Dorman High School is a high school located in Roebuck, South Carolina, United States. It is the only comprehensive high school in Spartanburg County School District 6. It consists of a main campus for 10th-12th graders and a separate campus for 9th graders, and a College, Career, and Fine Arts Center. The center features an auditorium, multiple classrooms, an art gallery, kitchen, student center, and computer labs. The campus is located at the intersection of Interstate 26 and Highway 221 in Spartanburg County.
The Clemson–South Carolina rivalry is an American collegiate athletic rivalry between the Clemson University Tigers and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, the two largest universities in the state of South Carolina. Since 2015, the two compete in the Palmetto Series, which consists of more than a dozen athletic, head-to-head matchups each school year. South Carolina leads the all-sport series 5–1, after Clemson won the 2023–24 series. The South Carolina Gamecocks football program represents the University of South Carolina. The Gamecocks compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference. The team's head coach is Shane Beamer.
