Pamela Powers Hannley (born July 30,1951) is an American activist,blogger,politician and a former Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives elected to represent District 9 in 2016,serving until 2023. In addition to her work in the Arizona Legislature,she is also the social media and technology editor of the American Journal of Medicine .
Powers Hannley is a native of Amherst,Ohio but has lived in Tucson,Arizona since 1981. For most of her professional career,Powers Hannley worked in public relations and corporate communications. For several years,she owned her own communication consulting and freelance writing business—Powers/Queen Associates. After receiving a Masters in Public Health from the University of Arizona,she shifted her career to public health and behavioral medicine research. She is the former Program Director and Principal Investigator for the Arizona Smokers Helpline and related Internet and evaluation services (1998-2004) and former managing editor of the American Journal of Medicine (2004–2016). Powers Hannley received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio State University in 1973 and a master's degree in public health from the University of Arizona in 1996. [2] She also attended Muskingum College in New Concord,Ohio and Pima Community College in Tucson,Arizona. Powers Hannley is a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst,Ohio.
Ann Leila Kirkpatrick is an American politician and retired attorney who served as the U.S. representative for Arizona's 2nd congressional district from 2019 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party,she represented Arizona's 1st congressional district from 2009 to 2011,and again from 2013 to 2017. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2005 to 2007.

A Democrat,he was appointed by President Barack Obama in June 2013 as Director of Provider Outreach in the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs,a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Heinz was tasked with helping Secretary Kathleen Sebelius with the roll-out of the Affordable Care Act,with one aspect of his job to work with LGBT organizations across the country as they inform their members of their options in each state. For one or two weekends per month,Heinz continued his work as a hospitalist in Tucson,Arizona. Heinz left the position in March 2015.
Daniel Hernández Jr. is an American politician and former member of the Arizona House of Representatives. A member of the Arizona Democratic Party,he served alongside Rosanna Gabaldón in Legislative District 2. Hernández interned for U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords and was present when she was shot during a 2011 constituent meeting. He has been credited with helping to save Giffords's life after the incident.
Jamescita Mae Peshlakai is a former Democratic member of the Arizona State Senate,serving from 2017 to 2021. She previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2013 until 2015,and served as co-Minority Whip for the 2018 sitting of the state senate. Peshlakai is a member of the Navajo Nation. The 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Arizona were held on November 6,2018,to elect the nine U.S. representatives from the State of Arizona,one from each of the state's nine congressional districts. The elections coincided with the 2018 Arizona gubernatorial election,as well as other elections to the U.S. House of Representatives,elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. The 2018 general elections saw the Democratic party gain the 2nd congressional district,thus flipping the state from a 5–4 Republican advantage to a 5–4 Democratic advantage,the first time since the 2012 election in which Democrats held more House seats in Arizona than the Republicans.
