According to the 2022 Bangladesh census, Panchagarh city had a population of 57,002 and a literacy rate of 85.80%. [2] :388–394

According to the 2011 Bangladesh census, Panchagarh city had 10,105 households and a population of 45,589. 8,891 (19.50%) were under 10 years of age. Panchagarh had a literacy rate (age 7 and over) of 70.31%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 962 females per 1000 males. [1]
