Pankaj Jalote was the Director of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology. [1] [2] [3] Jalote is a Fellow of the IEEE and INAE. [4]

Before joining IIIT Delhi, he worked as the Microsoft Chair Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi. Jalote has also taught at the Department of Computer Science at IIT Kanpur and University of Maryland.

Education

Prof Jalote completed his PhD from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1985, M.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 1982 and BTech from IIT Kanpur in 1980.

Ashok Jhunjhunwala is an Indian academic. He received his B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and PhD from the University of Maine. He has been a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras since 1981, where he is currently Institute Professor. During his career, he has contributed extensively to technology innovation and adoption in the Indian context.

Valipe Ramgopal Rao was the Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He was a P.K.Kelkar Chair Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay before joining IIT Delhi as the Director. Ramgopal Rao has more than 480 publications in various journals, and over 50 patents in the areas of Electron devices and Nanoelectronics. Ramgopal Rao was the first elected chairman for the Indian Section of the American Nano Society. He is also the recipient of multiple prizes including the Swarnajayanti Fellowship, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, Infosys Prize, Techno-Visionary award from the Indian Semiconductor Association in 2020, the IBM faculty award in 2007 and the IEEE EDS Education award in 2020 besides many others. He is a Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), National Academy of Sciences (NASI) and the Indian National Science Academy (INSA).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Vijay Vaishnavi</span> Georgian computer scientist (born 1948)

Vijay K. Vaishnavi is a noted researcher and scholar in the computer information systems field with contributions mainly in the areas of design science research, software engineering, and data structures & algorithms, authoring over 150 publications including seven books in these and related areas, and co-owning a patent. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the Department of Computer Information Systems, Georgia State University. He is Senior Editor Emeritus of MIS Quarterly and is on the editorial boards of a number of other major journals. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as well as by the industry.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Vaidyeswaran Rajaraman</span> Indian engineer, academic and writer (born 1933)

Vaidyeswaran Rajaraman is an Indian engineer, academic and writer, known for his pioneering efforts in the field of Computer Science Education in India. He is credited with the establishment of the first academic program in computer science in India, which he helped initiate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1965. An elected fellow of all the Indian science academies, he is a recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, the highest Indian award in Science and Technology category for young scientists and several other honors including Om Prakash Bhasin Award and Homi Bhabha Prize. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honor of the Padma Bhushan, in 1998, for his contributions to science.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jayadev Misra</span> American computer scientist (born 1947)

Jayadev Misra is an Indian-born computer scientist who has spent most of his professional career in the United States. He is the Schlumberger Centennial Chair Emeritus in computer science and a University Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus at the University of Texas at Austin. Professionally he is known for his contributions to the formal aspects of concurrent programming and for jointly spearheading, with Sir Tony Hoare, the project on Verified Software Initiative (VSI).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sudhir K. Jain</span> Vice-chancellor of BHU

Sudhir Kumar Jain, referred to as Sudhir K. Jain is the incumbent and 28th Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University. He is a civil engineer by education and has formerly served three terms as the founding director of the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He has carried out intensive research and development in the fields of seismic design codes, dynamic of buildings, and post-earthquake studies. Beside these, Jain has actively participated in teaching, research activities and development in earthquake engineering focused on developing countries. He is an elected fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering. He was also elected a member of U.S. National Academy of Engineering (2021) for leadership in earthquake engineering in developing countries.

Rajat Moona is the Director of Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He has served as director at Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai. He was also a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur and Director General of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing.
