Paolo Persoglia (born 28 April 1994) is a Sanmarrinese judoka.
He is able to represent Italy or San Marino. [1]
Between 2013 and 2019 Persoglia has medalled at the Games of the Small States of Europe winning two silver and 2 bronze medals. He has also competed at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore. [2]
He was selected to compete at the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo, as well as the 2020 Summer Games where he was drawn to face Noël van 't End, [3] the gold medalist at the 2019 world championships and number 2 in the world. Persoglia lost by ippon after half a minute. [4]
Judo at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo featured around 393, 128 judoka competing in 15 events, seven each for both men and women as well as a new mixed team event. In December 2019, he became a citizen of Mongolia. He dedicated his 2020 Olympic medal to Mongolia and Mongol People and to Israel. From May 2022 on, Mollaei represents Azerbaijan.
Guusje Steenhuis is a Dutch judoka. She won the bronze medal in the 78 kg event at the 2015 European Games in Baku. She is the four-time silver medalist of European Judo Championships in the 78 kg division. She competed in the women's 78 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
