Parenthood was renewed for a third season by NBC on May 12, 2011. [2] This season of Parenthood was set to only have 16 episodes. However, on September 29, 2011, NBC ordered two more episodes of Parenthood bringing this seasons total to 18 episodes. [3]

The recliner Zeek got his mother, although heavy and secured tightly, gets stolen. Zeek becomes angry with his family and heads off without them the next morning. The remaining family members head home, but turn back around after Haddie talks with Adam.
