Maxwell Henry Wolf Burkholder (born November 1, 1997) is an American actor. He is most notable for his role as Max Braverman in the comedic television drama on NBC, Parenthood . Prior to that, he became known as a voice actor for his roles as Chomper in The Land Before Time , Roo on My Friends Tigger & Pooh and World in the television of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends , Destination: Imagination . In 2013, Burkholder appeared in the film The Purge . He is currently a member of the comedy account on Instagram, Max 'n' the Jakey Boys. [1]
Burkholder's parents are former actors. [2] Burkholder has a brother named Adam. [3] He attended Campbell Hall School. [4] Burkholder was accepted into Harvard University as a member of the Class of 2021. [5] There he began his theatrical career appearing in a production of columbinus at Harvard portraying Dylan Klebold/Loner. [6] Burkholder is Jewish. [7]
Burkholder has appeared on Parenthood as Max Braverman and as young Mitch on Crumbs . He guest starred on an episode of CSI: Miami , "Death Pool 100" and in an episode of CSI: NY . In addition, he played Billy in one episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody on Disney Channel and was the voice of Samsquatch in Random! Cartoons . He also appeared in the television series In Treatment and Love for Rent and played the role of Duncan in the episode of Grey's Anatomy , "Brave New World". He also played a child at an airport in an episode of The O.C. . [8]
Burkholder has lent his voice for several shows. He voiced Chomper in the television series The Land Before Time , based on film series of the same name. He also provided the voice of Roo on My Friends Tigger & Pooh (taking over the role from Jimmy Bennett) and played "World" the imaginary friend inside a toybox in the movie of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends , Destination: Imagination (2008). For Burkholder's role as Max Braverman on Parenthood , executive producer Jason Katims said consultant Wayne Tashjian, a behavioral psychologist, looked at the script and met with Burkholder and his mother about those scenes involving the character of Max. Burkholder and his mother then practiced the scenes by themselves. For special scenes, the show employed a second consultant to ensure accuracy. [10]
Burkholder played Max in Daddy Day Care (2003) and also appeared in Friends with Money (2006). [11] He played the son of James Sandin in the horror film The Purge in the summer of 2013. [12] [13]

Tigger is a fictional character in A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh books and their adaptations; an anthropomorphic toy tiger. He was originally introduced in the 1928 story collection The House at Pooh Corner, the sequel to the 1926 book Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne. Like other Pooh characters, Tigger is based on one of Christopher Robin Milne's stuffed toy animals. He appears in the Disney animated versions of Winnie the Pooh and has also appeared in his own film, The Tigger Movie (2000).

Welcome to Pooh Corner is a live-action/puppet television series that aired on Disney Channel, featuring the characters from the Winnie the Pooh universe portrayed by actors in human-sized puppet suits, except Roo, who was originally a traditional puppet. The animatronic costumes used for the characters were created by Alchemy II, Inc., headed by Ken Forsse who later created Teddy Ruxpin. The show was first aired on April 18, 1983, the day The Disney Channel was launched. Its timeslot for its early run was at 8:30 a.m. Eastern/Pacific Time, making it the third program of The Disney Channel's 16 hour programming day. Reruns of the show aired on The Disney Channel until May 30, 1997.
The Book of Pooh is an American children's television series that aired on the Playhouse Disney block on Disney Channel. It is the third television series to feature the characters from the Disney franchise based on A. A. Milne's works; the other two were the live action Welcome to Pooh Corner and the animated The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh which ran from 1988 to 1991. It premiered on January 22, 2001 and completed its run on July 8, 2003. It was repeated on Playhouse Disney until June 2, 2006. The show is produced by Shadow Projects. Walt Disney Pictures released the first of two films, a direct-to-video spin-off film based on the puppetry television series titled The Book of Pooh: Stories from the Heart in 2001.
