Park Royal Partnership (PRP) [1] was an urban regeneration partnership, promoting the economic development of Park Royal, London, Europe's largest industrial area.
The Park Royal Partnership (limited company No. 02702122) was dissolved on 07/07/2014 The linked companies Park Royal Workforce (limited company No. 5500391) and Brent Business Venture (limited company No. 01775481) are also dissolved. [2]
in late 2014 a group was created to fill the void that the Park Royal partnership left called the Park Royal Business Group which is part of West London Business
Park Royal is located north of roughly the half-way point between Heathrow airport and central London. The industrial and business estate is home to more than 2000 businesses and 40,000 employees.
Since the early 1990s, the PRP has been responsible for driving inward investment and business growth. It states:
In recent years, PRP has overseen more than £100 million of public and private sector investment, contributing directly to new business creation and growth, creating and safeguarding employment and regenerating the area's property and transport infrastructure.
Park Royal Partnership is funded by the private sector through subscriptions from its business members, and by its public sector partners, for whom the PRP acts as a delivery agent for regional and local public policy. The company is run by an independent board of directors drawn from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
The Park Royal Partnership Group is made up of three companies:
which work together to coordinate a range of business services. These include business growth and start-up support, networking, training and recruitment, as well as transport and environmental improvements.
In 2007, the PRP proposed an orbital, limited-stop bus service around Park Royal called "Fastbus". [3] They claimed that Fastbus would improve orbital transport connections in Brent. [4] A new road in Park Royal, near the Diageo 'First Central' business park, has been built with bus lanes, in anticipation of the new service. However as of mid-2009, there has been no support for the proposal by Transport for London.

Brent Cross is a major traffic interchange and area in the London Borough of Barnet, England. Originally the name of a crossroads, it is located a mile from the centres of Hendon and Golders Green. Notably, the Brent Cross Shopping Centre, a major retail facility, was opened in 1976, south of the interchange. The "Brent Cross Flyover" A41 runs to the east of the shopping centre over the A406 North Circular Road, while the M1 motorway and A5 Edgware Road are to the west at Staples Corner interchange. In addition, the Northern line and Thameslink rail routes run on viaducts.

Doxford International is a 125-acre (51 ha) business park located at the A19 / A690 interchange on the outskirts of Sunderland, in the North East of England. Previously it was a greenfield site, it was designated as an Enterprise Zone in 1990 in response to the decline of the area's former ship building and coal mining industries. A partnership between Sunderland City Council and Goodman Property has seen the creation of 1,350,000 sq ft (125,000 m2) of high-specification offices, with the private sector partner investing around £200 million. The first buildings were completed in 1992, providing accommodation for a range of businesses that have played a key role in the regeneration of the City.

The Dudding Hill Line is a railway line in west and north-west London running from Acton to Cricklewood. It is roughly 4 miles (6.4 km) long, with a 30 miles per hour (48 km/h) speed limit, and semaphore signalling. The line has no scheduled passenger service, no stations, and is not electrified. It is lightly used by freight trains and, very occasionally, passenger charter trains.
The Acton–Northolt line (ANL), otherwise known as the New North Main Line (NNML), is a railway line in West London, England. Built between 1903 and 1906, it runs from the Great Western Main Line at Old Oak Common TMD to the Chiltern Main Line at South Ruislip, alongside the West Ruislip branch of the London Underground Central line, for a distance of around 11 miles (18 km).

It was put forward by the London group of the Campaign for Better Transport and by the Coalition for a Sustainable Brent Cross Cricklewood.
The West London Orbital is a proposed extension to the London Overground railway system. The extension would make use of a combination of existing freight and passenger lines including the Dudding Hill Line, North London Line and Hounslow Loop. The route would run for approximately 11 miles (17 km) from West Hampstead and Hendon at the northern end to Hounslow at the western end via Brent Cross West, Neasden, Harlesden, Old Oak Common, South Acton and Brentford.
HCT Group was a social enterprise providing transport services and community services in several areas of the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1982 as Hackney Community Transport in the London Borough of Hackney, to provide transport services for local voluntary organisations, charities, and community groups. HCT Group was registered as a company limited by guarantee. The company was also a registered charity.

The Crossrail line was first proposed in 1941. It was first proposed to Parliament in 1991 but was rejected. It was then proposed by the government as the Crossrail bill in 2005. Construction started in 2009 and, heavily delayed, the central section was opened by Elizabeth II on 24 May 2022 with full completion due in 2023.
After extensive privatisation of the public sector during the Margaret Thatcher administration, there remain few statutory corporations in the UK. Privatisation began in the late 1970s, and notable privatisations include the Central Electricity Generating Board, British Rail, and more recently Royal Mail. After the Hatfield rail crash accident, the British government decided to intervene and in 2002 renationalised Railtrack into Network Rail.
