The All-Ireland Poc Fada Hurling & Camogie Championships is an annual tournament testing the skills of Ireland's best hurlers and camogie players. Poc Fada is Irish for "long puck". The championships are sponsored by Martin Donnelly.
The Camogie All Star Awards are awarded each November to 15 players who have made outstanding contributions to the Irish stick and ball team sport of camogie in the 15 traditional positions on the field: goalkeeper, three full backs, three half-backs, two midfields, three half-forwards and three full-forwards. Liz Neary is a retired Irish sportsperson. She played camogie at various times with her local clubs St. Paul's and Austin Stacks and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team from 1970 until 1987. Neary is regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time.

Mary O'Connor is an Irish sportsperson. A dual player, she played both ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. As a footballer O Connor has played with her local clubs Donoughmore and Inch Rovers and was a member of the Cork county ladies' football team at senior level from 1994 until 2010. She has won five All-Ireland titles. As a camogie player O'Connor played for her local club Killeagh and was a member of the Cork county camogie team at senior level since 1996. Since then she has won seven All-Ireland titles. O'Connor is one of the most decorated players in the history of Gaelic games. Winner of All Ireland camogie medals in 1997, 1998, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 and All Star awards in 2005, 2006 and 2009.
Rena Buckley is an Irish sportswoman who played at senior level for both the Cork county ladies' football team and the Cork county camogie team. She has also represented Munster in the Gael Linn Cup and Ireland at international rules. Between 2005 and 2017 she won 18 All-Ireland winners medals, making her one of the most decorated sportspeople in Gaelic games. In 2012 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship and in 2017 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship. She was the first player to captain Cork to both All-Ireland senior championships. She was also named as an All Star on eleven occasions. In 2015 Buckley and her team mate and fellow dual player, Briege Corkery, were named joint winners of the 2015 The Irish Times/ Sport Ireland Sportswoman of the Year Award.
The Ashbourne Cup is an Irish camogie tournament played each year to determine the national champion university or third level college. The Ashbourne Cup is the highest division in inter-collegiate camogie. The competition features many of the current stars of the game and is sometimes known as the 'Olympics of Camogie' because of the disproportionate number of All Star and All-Ireland elite level players who participate each year Since 1972 it has been administered by the Higher Education committee of the Camogie Association.
Bridie Martin-McGarry from Kilkenny is a former camogie player selected on the camogie team of the century in 2004, and winner of nine All Ireland medals.
Linda Mellerick is a former camogie player selected on the camogie team of the century in 2004, and winner of All Ireland medals in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2002.

Ann Downey is a retired camogie player, winner of 12 All Ireland inter-county medals, captaining the team in 1989 and 1994, and seven All-Ireland club medals with St Paul's and Lisdowney (1) – one more than her sister Angela who was suspended for one final.
Emily ‘Emmie’ Delany is a former camogie player. She played for University College Dublin (UCD) and was captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1938 when she scored the fifth of Dublin's five goals in their 5-0 to 2–3 victory over Cork. Some sources reference her under the name "Emma Emmy Delaney" although her given name was Emily and her family name was Delany with no "e". She won a previous All Ireland senior medal in 1937.
Patricia ‘Pat’ Raftery is a former camogie player, captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1950. She won a previous All Ireland senior medal in 1949.
Hannah Dineen Cotter is a former camogie player, captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1972, the third in succession for the county. She previously won All Ireland senior medals in 1970 and 1971 and completed Cork's four in a row in 1973, under her married name Hannah Cotter.
Patricia ‘Pat’ Lenihan is a former camogie player, captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1982.
The 1962 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship was the high point of the 1962 season in Camogie. The championship was won by Dublin who defeated Galway by a 14-point margin in the final.
