Sushmita Mitra is an Indian computer scientist and is currently the head and INAE Chair Professor at the Machine Intelligence Unit at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Her research interests include pattern recognition, data mining, bioinformatics, soft computing and medical imaging.
