Patrick ("Pat") Dwyer (born 3 November 1977 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales) is an Australian athlete specializing in the 400 metres.

He competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics, and was a part of the Australian team that won the silver medal in 4 × 400 metres relay. In addition to this, he finished seventh with the relay teams at the 2000 Summer Olympics and fifth at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

His personal bests of 20.60 s (200 m) and 44.73 s (400 m) were both achieved in 2000.

Daniel Steven Kowalski is an Australian former middle- and long-distance swimmer specialising in freestyle events. He competed in the Olympic Games in 200-, 400- and 1,500-metre individual freestyle events and in the 4 × 200-metre freestyle relay. At the 1996 Summer Olympics, he was the first man in 92 years to earn medals in all of the 200-, 400- and 1500-metre freestyle events. Kowalski, alongside Livinia Nixon, hosted the short-lived TV show Plucka's Place in 1997. Kowalski is perhaps best known for having been a perpetual runner-up to fellow Australians Kieren Perkins and Grant Hackett, who were, respectively, the world's best 1500-metre freestyle competitors during the earlier and later parts of Kowalski's career. The 4 × 400 metres relay races at the 2000 Summer Olympics as part of the athletics program were held on 29 and 30 September. The top two teams in each of the initial five heats automatically qualified for the semi-final. The next six fastest teams from across the heats also qualified. The top three teams in each of the semi-finals automatically qualified for the final. The next two fastest team from the semi-finals also qualified.
