Ayanna Soyini Pressley is an American politician who has served as the U.S. representative for Massachusetts's 7th congressional district since 2019. Before serving in the United States House of Representatives,Pressley served as an at-large member of the Boston City Council from 2010 through 2019. She was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2018 after she defeated the ten-term incumbent Mike Capuano in the Democratic primary election for Massachusetts' 7th congressional district and ran unopposed in the general election. Pressley was the first black woman elected to the Boston City Council and the first black woman elected to Congress from Massachusetts. James Ananich is an American politician from the State of Michigan. He was a Democratic Party member of the Michigan State Senate from 2013 to 2023,representing the 27th district,which is located in Genesee County and includes the cities Burton,Clio,Flint,Mount Morris and Swartz Creek and the townships of Flint Township,Forest,Genesee,Mount Morris,Richfield,Thetford and Vienna. He was the minority leader from 2015 to 2023.

Brenda B. Jones is an American politician who served as a member of the Detroit City Council from 2006 to 2022,and as the president of the City Council from 2014 to 2022. She won the 2018 special election to succeed John Conyers following his resignation in December 2017,and was succeeded by Rashida Tlaib.
