Patrycja Volny (born 5 February 1988) is a German-born Polish actress known for her role as Dobra Nowina in the 2017 crime film Spoor , the Polish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards. She first appeared in 2012 legal drama television series True Law . She is the only daughter of the late Polish singer and songwriter Jacek Kaczmarski. [1] [2]

She achieved fame in her teens with roles in films such as Deep Impact (1998), Never Been Kissed, Eyes Wide Shut, Here on Earth (2000), Joy Ride and The Glass House. She received Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations for her portrayal of the title character in the television film Joan of Arc (1999), and a further Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the NBC miniseries Uprising (2001). Sobieski continued to work in films and on television until retiring in 2012, after which she focused on her children and art career.
