Timothy Thomas Powers is an American science fiction and fantasy author. His first major novel was The Drawing of the Dark (1979), but the novel that earned him wide praise was The Anubis Gates (1983), which won the Philip K. Dick Award, and has since been published in many other languages. His other written work include Dinner at Deviant's Palace (1985), Last Call (1992), Expiration Date (1996), Earthquake Weather (1997), Declare (2000), and Three Days to Never (2006). Powers has won the World Fantasy Award twice for his critically acclaimed novels Last Call and Declare. Nora Keita Jemisin is an American science fiction and fantasy writer. Her fiction includes a wide range of themes, notably cultural conflict and oppression. Her debut novel, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, and the subsequent books in her Inheritance Trilogy received critical acclaim. She has won several awards for her work, including the Locus Award. The three books of her Broken Earth series made her the first author to win the Hugo Award for Best Novel in three consecutive years, as well as the first to win for all three novels in a trilogy. She won a fourth Hugo Award, for Best Novelette, in 2020 for Emergency Skin, and a fifth Hugo Award, for Best Graphic Story, in 2022 for Far Sector. Jemisin was a recipient of the MacArthur Fellows Program Genius Grant in 2020.

<i>Tangent Online</i> Online magazine specialized in reviewing fiction

Tangent Online is an online magazine launched in its online incarnation in 1997, though it began as a print magazine in 1993. Tangent Online is edited by Dave Truesdale, with web-hoster Eric James Stone. The magazine covers reviews of science fiction and fantasy short fiction as well as providing classic interviews, articles, and editorials. According to Sam Moskowitz, Tangent was the first of its kind in the history of the SF field to review short science fiction and fantasy exclusively.

A Year in the Linear City is a 2002 weird fiction novella by Paul Di Filippo, published by PS Publishing.

Dempow Torishima is a Japanese science-fiction writer and illustrator. He won the Sogen SF Short Story Prize in 2011. His novel Sisyphean was named SF Magazine's best Book of 2013, won the Japan SF Award, and was nominated for the Seiun Award in 2014. Science fiction writer Jeff VanderMeer described the book as "the Kafka of "Penal Colony" and "Metamorphosis" conjured up the ghosts of PK Dick and Leonora Carrington in the context of weird terrestrial biology + far future + Brothers Quay. It truly inhabits the lives of other lifeforms but is linear." The Los Angeles Review of Books called it "a remarkable literary feat", and noted its complex exploration of technology, the human body, biology, and post-capitalist science fiction.

The Last Heretic: The Best Short Fiction of Darrell Schweitzer Volume II is a collection of fantasy short stories by American author Darrell Schweitzer. It was first published in hardcover by PS Publishing in April 2020 as the second of its two volume set The Best Short Fiction of Darrell Schweiter. An ebook edition followed from the same publisher in September of the same year.
