Global Affairs Canada is the department of the Government of Canada that manages Canada's diplomatic and consular relations, promotes Canadian international trade, and leads Canada's international development and humanitarian assistance. It is also responsible for maintaining Canadian government offices abroad with diplomatic and consular status on behalf of all government departments.

Law 3037/2002 was a controversial law passed by the Greek government Greece In 2002 and was later repealed in 2011.The law effectively banned all electronic games in public places in the hopes that it would fight illegal gambling in the country. The bill was formulated after a member of the then ruling Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) political party was videotaped in an illegal gambling establishment, resulting in public hysteria that was fueled by sensationalist reporting in the press. The bill was passed on 29 July 2002 to take effect with its publication in the Government Gazette, pursuant to the enabling article.

Blanche Margaret Meagher, was a Canadian diplomat who became the nation's first-ever appointed female ambassador. She served as Canadian Ambassador to Israel from 1958 to 1961, Austria from 1962 to 1966, and Sweden from 1969 to 1973. She was also High Commissioner to Cyprus, Uganda and Kenya, and chaired the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors from 1964 to 1965.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the governmental body responsible for conducting foreign relations of the Republic of Turkey. Peter Michael Boehm is a Canadian politician, former diplomat and deputy minister. He was appointed to the Senate of Canada in October 2018. Boehm was ambassador of Canada to Germany from 2008 to 2012. He was associate deputy minister and then senior associate deputy minister at Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada from 2012 to 2016. He became deputy minister of international development in March 2016, and on July 31, 2017, was appointed deputy minister for the 2018 G7 Summit. He also continued as the Canadian "Sherpa" or personal representative of the prime minister for the G7 summits, as well as the Nuclear Security Summit.

The mission's 27 staff members in Chicago work to further this relationship by promoting Canada's interests in this region through stronger trade and economic ties, as well as enhanced political, academic and cultural links between Canada and the Midwest. The Consulate General also provides consular assistance to Canadians who are visiting or living in the accredited territory.

During his tenure at Tehran, he was also the Pakistan Permanent Representative to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Otmar Seul was born on August 30, 1943, in Trier (Germany) and held lectures at the Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense from October 1989 to September 2011 as a Professor of legal German. In cooperation with his German counterpart Werner Merle, he founded the renowned integrated curriculum of French and German law in 1994–1995, joining together the University of Paris Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense (France) and the University of Potsdam (Germany). This curriculum became the centre of a European network of academic cooperation in legal sciences that is open to new forms of studies and research internationalisation. Otmar Seul's most innovative idea was the creation in 2004 of French-German summer universities with other European and non-European countries. His research on industrial democracy and employee participation in companies reflects this French-German and European intercultural dimension.

Dimiter Tzantchev is a European diplomat, Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation to the State of Israel. He joined the European external action service after a long and distinguished career in the Bulgarian diplomatic service. He was Bulgaria's Ambassador to the EU, the UN in Geneva and to Israel. Tzantchev was President of COREPER II - January 1 - June 30, 2018 during the first ever Bulgarian rotational presidency of the Council of the EU. One of the longest serving Permanent Representatives to EU in Brussels he was also the Dean of COREPER II from August 2017 until September 2021.
