Paul Martelletti (born 1 August 1979) is a New Zealand marathoner and ultra-marathoner. His notable victories in 2015 included the Greater Manchester Marathon, [3] Bath Half Marathon, [4] Wokingham Half Marathon [5] and Watford Half Marathon. [6] In 2014 Martelletti won the Chelmsford Park Marathon [7] and the Windsor Half Marathon. [8] He also represented Great Britain at the 2014 IAU 100 km World Championships in Doha, Qatar. [9]

In 2016, Martelletti claimed victory at the Brighton Half Marathon [10] for the fourth successive year.

Other Victories

In April 2015, Paul Martelletti ran the quickest ever marathon by someone dressed as a superhero at Sunday's Virgin Money London Marathon.

Initially clocking 2:30:12, Martelletti's time was later adjusted from gun to chip time meaning he managed his target of breaking 2:30 with 2:29:57. [11]

In 2014 he won the UK leg of the inaugural Red Bull Wings for Life race, where he outran a chaser car for 69.37km to place 5th in the global rankings. [12]

In December 2017 he set the Linford Wood parkrun record, clocking in at 15:13. [13] In May 2019, Martelletti also set the Victoria Dock parkrun course record, in a time of 14:43. [14]

Paul Kiprop Kirui is a Kenyan distance and marathon runner. He participated at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in 2004 and finished first place. He had participated the World Half Marathon Championships twice before; in 2002 he finished 10th, but the next year he did not finish. His marathon personal best is 2:06:44, set in 2006 Rotterdam Marathon, when he finished 2nd behind compatriot Sammy Korir.

Paula Fudge is an English former middle and long-distance runner. Peter Kimeli Some is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in road running events, including the marathon. Some has a marathon best of 2:05:38 hours and a half marathon best of 1:00:21 hours. He won the 2013 Paris Marathon and the 2012 Brighton Marathon. He is the son of former runner Some Muge and the brother of Matthew Kisorio.

Eleanor Robinson is a British former ultramarathon runner and two-time winner of the IAU 100km World Championships. She was the first woman to run over 150 miles in a 24-hour endurance race. She was the winner of the first Badwater Ultramarathon in 1987. She was twice bronze medallist at the IAU 100 km European Championships.

Camille Herron is an American ultramarathon runner. She is the first and only athlete to win all three of the road IAU World Championships for 50K, 100K, and 24 Hours. Elisha Rotich is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. Rotich has a personal best in the marathon of 2:04:21, which he set when he won and set the course record at the Paris Marathon in 2021. Rotich also won the 2016 Cannes Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes, the 2017 Chuncheon Chosunilbo Marathon, and the 2018 Eindhoven Marathon.
