Peach Fur is an Australian rock band from the Gold Coast, whose members are most known for their live performances and blend of musical genres, including rock and roll, psych, punk, hip-hop, and reggae. They were formed in 2015 on the Gold Coast, Australia. The band members are Mikey Woodworth (Drums), Denny Hilder (Vocals, Guitar), Ben Crichton (Lead Guitar) and Liam Ward (Bass, Vocals). Their style is influenced by influential bands and artists such as Pink Floyd, King Krule, Jurassic 5, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. [1]

Career

2015-2024: EPs and Earth Radio

The debut studio album Earth Radio was released in 2023 following a series of Extended plays. The album includes a wide range of genres including jazz and disco. [2] [3] The concept behind Earth Radio imagines extraterrestrials sampling Earth's musical genres. The lead singles, Yummy and Sun Rays received positive reception. The album's release marked a significant milestone in Peach Fur's career. [2]

In November 2024, the band announced their "indefinite hiatus" via social media. [4]

Touring

Peach Fur has toured throughout Australia and Europe. [5] They have performed at numerous festivals, including Spilt Milk. [6]

Awards

Peach Fur won the Live Act of the Year at the 2021 Gold Coast Music Awards. [8] [9] The band also won the Triple J Unearthed's Spilt Milk competition in 2022. [10]

In November 2022, Peach Fur were featured as the Triple J Unearthed Featured Artist. [11]

Numbers Radio are an Australian hard rock band formed in Brisbane, Queensland in 2008. The band is made up of Dave Orr (guitars-vocals) Robbie Carlyon (bass-vocals) and Mark Henman (drums). Numbers Radio first came to attention when they won a national youth radio competition, Triple J Unearthed, securing them a spot at Homebake and they received national airplay on Triple J. The band is well known for being extremely proficient musicians across a variety of genres including Blues, Funk, Jazz, and Ska Punk.

Toni Watson, known professionally as Tones and I, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She is best known for her breakout single "Dance Monkey", which reached number one in over 30 countries including her home country Australia. Crooked Colours are an Australian alternative dance group from Perth, Western Australia, who formed in 2013. The band consists of Phil Slabber, Leon Debaughn and Liam Merrett-Park.

Lastlings are an Australian electronic pop band from Gold Coast, Queensland made up of brother and sister duo Amy and Josh Dowdle. They have performed at Coachella, Spilt Milk, Splendour in the Grass, and The Plot. The duo are well known for their song "Deja Vu", which received high rotation on triple j. Lastlings supported Two Door Cinema Club on their Australian national tour.

Caught in a Reverie is the debut album by Australian indie duo the Dreggs consisting of Paddy Macrae and Zane Harris. The album was released on 26 April 2024, independently. The album was preceded by the release of four singles: "For Your Love", "Take a Little Time", "Places" and "Peeps with the Goods". To support Caught in a Reverie, the duo will embark on album launch parties throughout Queensland and Victoria and on an album tour throughout the UK/EU, and set to return for another tour throughout Australia and New Zealand.
