Peach Fur is an Australian rock band from the Gold Coast whose members are most known for their live performances and blend of musical genres, including rock 'n' roll, psych, punk, hip hop, and reggae. The band members are Mikey Woodworth (Drums), Denny Hilder (Vocals, Guitar), Ben Crichton (Lead Guitar), and Liam Ward (Bass, Vocals).

Peach Fur was formed in 2015 on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Musical style and influences

Peach Fur's sound is Australian indie rock, their style is influenced by iconic bands and artists such as Pink Floyd, King Krule, Jurassic 5, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. [1]

Earth Radio album

Earth Radio (2023) is the debut studio album by indie-fusion band Peach Fur, released following a series of EPs since their 2015 debut Pleasures & Necessities. The album explores a wide range of genres including jazz and disco, diverging from their previous works while retaining their core sound. [2] [3] The concept behind Earth Radio imagines extraterrestrials sampling Earth's musical genres. The lead singles Yummy and Sun Rays received positive reception. The album's release marked a significant milestone in Peach Fur's career. [2]

Touring

Peach Fur has toured throughout Australia and Europe. [4] They have performed at numerous festivals, including Spilt Milk. [5]

Awards

Peach Fur won the Live Act of the Year at the 2021 Gold Coast Music Awards. [6] [7] The band also won the Triple J Unearthed's Spilt Milk competition in 2022. [8]

In November 2022, Peach Fur were featured as the Triple J Unearthed Featured Artist. [9]

Lastlings are an Australian electronic pop band from Gold Coast, Queensland made up of brother and sister duo Amy and Josh Dowdle. They have performed at Coachella, Spilt Milk, Splendour in the Grass, and The Plot. The duo are well known for their song "Deja Vu", which received high rotation on triple j. Lastlings supported Two Door Cinema Club on their Australian national tour.

Yours Truly are an Australian pop-punk band formed in 2016 in Sydney, New South Wales. Their debut studio album, Self Care (2020), peaked at number 19 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Beddy Rays are an Australian rock band from the outer Brisbane suburb of Redland Bay, Queensland. With music described as "rollicking coastal punk rock", they are best known for their 2020 single "Sobercoaster". The band have supported Tones and I on tour, as well as Dune Rats and Hockey Dad.

Caught in a Reverie is the debut album by Australian indie duo the Dreggs consisting of Paddy Macrae and Zane Harris. The album was released on 26 April 2024, independently. The album was preceded by the release of four singles: "For Your Love", "Take a Little Time", "Places" and "Peeps with the Goods". To support Caught in a Reverie, the duo will embark on album launch parties throughout Queensland and Victoria and on an album tour throughout the UK/EU, and set to return for another tour throughout Australia and New Zealand.
