Pear Blossom Park is a park in Medford, Oregon, United States. The Commons at Pear Blossom Park was a collaboration project by the Medford Urban Renewal Agency (MURA) and Lithia Motors. [1]

The park has hosted the Art in Bloom Festival, [2] Easter egg hunts, [3] the Pear Blossom Festival and Parade's Street Fair, [4] as well as demonstrations and protests, such as the clean air rally in 2019. [5] [6] The city's Christmas tree has been placed in the park. [7]

Emigrant Lake is a reservoir located 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Ashland, Oregon, at the southern end of the Rogue Valley. It has an elevation of 2,241 feet (683 m) above sea level. The lake has an average surface area of 806 acres (3.26 km2), and an average volume of 40,530 acre-feet (49,990,000 m3). The lake is impounded by Emigrant Lake Dam, which stands 205 feet (62 m) above the surrounding farmland, and is located on Emigrant Creek at the west side of the lake. The spillway is at the northern tip of the lake. Emigrant Creek is a tributary of Bear Creek.

The protests began in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Tennant Fire</span> 2021 wildfire in California and Nevada

The Tennant Fire was a wildfire that burned in the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County, California, in the United States as part of the 2021 California wildfire season. The fire was first reported just east of Highway 97, three miles northwest of Bray, California on June 28, 2021. The fire was contained on July 12, 2021. The fire burned 10,580 acres (4,282 ha), destroyed five structures, and caused evacuations in Macdoel, California. The cause remains under investigation. The Tennant Fire was one of three fires burning at the same time in the Lake Shasta region, the others being the Lava Fire and the Salt Fire.

Court Boice is an American Republican politician currently serving the 1st district in the Oregon House of Representatives. This district includes Curry County and parts of Coos and Douglas counties. Boice became state representative on February 9, 2023. The seat which had been vacant since January 11, when David Brock Smith, the district's previous representative, took the Oregon State Senate seat for the 1st district after Dallas Heard resigned from the Senate. Prior to his appointment to the state legislature, Boice was a Curry County commissioner.
