Pedro S. Cayco (born 10 May 1932) [1] is a retired swimmer who competed at the 1956 Summer Olympics at the Men's 100 metre backstroke event. [2] His older brother Jacinto was also an Olympic swimmer.

Kristine Lora Quance, also known by her married name Kristine Julian, is an American former competition swimmer who specialized in breaststroke and medley events. Quance competed at the international level in the 1990s, and swam at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, winning a gold medal in the 4×100-meter medley relay. She is a 10-time United States national champion; and twice won the Kiphuth Award as the highest individual point scorer at an individual national championship. Michael MacKay Austin is a retired American swimmer. He represented the United States at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, and won a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay with teammates Steve Clark, Gary Ilman and Don Schollander, setting a new world record of 3:33.2. Individually, he placed sixth in the 100 m freestyle with a time of 54.5 seconds.

Willy Otto Jordan was a Brazilian swimmer. Born in São Paulo, he took up swimming in 1932 at the age of 12 and, by the end of the decade, was one of the most prominent names in the city's blooming swimming movement. In 1940 he broke the South American records in the 200-metre freestyle and the 100-metre breaststroke as well as the Brazilian record in the 100-metre freestyle while competing against touring swimmers from Japan, including Olympic medalists Masanori Yusa and Tetsuo Hamuro. Later that year he was national champion in the breaststroke and relay events, as well as the 100m freestyle, for the first time.

Pedro Miguel Pinotes is an Angolan swimmer who competes in the Men's 400m individual medley. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he finished 30th overall in the heats in the Men's 400 metre individual medley and failed to reach the semi-final. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, he competed in the men's 400 m individual medley. He finished 25th in the heats and did not advance to the semi-final.

The Marshall Islands competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's fourth appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in 2008. The delegation consisted of two athletes, one man and one women, competing in two events in swimming. Swimmer Phillip Kinono competed in the men's 50 metre freestyle. Colleen Furgeson, a returning competitor from the 2016 Rio Olympics competed in the women's 100 metre freestyle. For the first time, in an effort to promote gender equality, two flagbearers, one male and one female were allowed at the Olympics. Furgeson and Kinono lead the Marshall Islands squad as the flagbearers in the opening ceremony. The Marshall Islands, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.
