Pedro Madeira (born 11 November 1992 in Vendas Novas, Portugal) is a Portuguese singer. He represented Portugal at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Deixa-me sentir".

El Sueño de Morfeo was a Spanish band from Asturias. Their musical style is pop rock fused with Celtic, folk rock and indie pop elements. They represented Spain at Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Contigo hasta el final ".

Ne brini

"Ne brini" was the Bosnian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, performed in Bosnian and English by Mija Martina.
The song was performed sixth on the night, following Malta's Lynn with "To Dream Again" and preceding Portugal's Rita Guerra with "Deixa-me sonhar". At the close of voting, it had received 27 points, placing 16th in a field of 26. Mija managed to earn Turkey's maximum, 12 points accumulated into her final score.

Više nisam tvoja

"Više nisam tvoja" was the Croatian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, performed bilingually in Croatian and English by Claudia Beni although there is not a bilingual version on record. The English version of the song is called "I Can't be Your Lover".

"Deixa-me sonhar " was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga, Latvia, performed in Portuguese and English by Rita Guerra. The song was composed by Paulo Martins. This was the first time that the Portuguese entry was not fully sung in Portuguese. The song peaked at #7 in the Portuguese singles chart.

North Macedonia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Portugal in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

The participation of Portugal in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest first began at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 which took place in Bucharest, Romania. Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP), a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), were responsible for the selection process of their participation. Portugal used a national selection format, broadcasting a show entitled "Festival da Canção Junior", for their participation at the contests. This was a junior version of Festival da Canção, the national music competition organised by broadcaster RTP to choose the Portuguese entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. The first representative to participate for the nation at the 2006 contest was Pedro Madeira with the song "Deixa-me sentir", which finished in second-last place out of fifteen participating entries, achieving a score of twenty-two points. Portugal withdrew from competing in 2008, and returned in 2017. Their worst result till date has been achieved by Rita Laranjeira with her song "Gosto de Tudo " in the Junior Eurovsion Song Contest 2018 where she placed 18th.

Só sei ser feliz assim

"Só sei ser feliz assim" was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001, performed in Portuguese by MTM, made up of Portuguese singers Marco Quelhas, who also wrote the song, and Tony Jackson. The two men both wore suits, Marco's in black and Tony's in white.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was the 11th edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Kyiv, Ukraine on 30 November 2013. The venue for the contest was announced on 10 April 2013, as the Palace "Ukraine". Ukrainian broadcaster National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU) was the host broadcaster for the event. It was the second time the contest was held in Kyiv, the first being the 2009 contest. It was also the second time in the history of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that the event took place in last year's winning country, as well as the first time that the event was held in the same city twice. A total of twelve countries participated, with Macedonia and Malta making a return, and Albania, Belgium and Israel choosing to withdraw. San Marino made their debut in the contest. Cyprus was originally the thirteenth country to take part but pulled out the last minute.

Portugal was represented by Rita Guerra with the song "Deixa-me sonhar " in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003.

Portugal participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place on 25 November 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. The Portuguese broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest.

Joana Almeida was internally selected on 26 September 2019 as the Portuguese representative.

"Medo de sentir" is a song performed by Portuguese singer Elisa Silva and written by Portuguese singer-songwriter Marta Carvalho. It would have represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
