Peel Regional Paramedic Services, provide ambulatory and paramedic care for the municipalities within Peel Region, in Ontario, Canada. Paramedic Headquarters are located in Brampton at 1600 Bovaird Road east and operations serve the residents of Caledon, Brampton, and Mississauga.

Peel Paramedics are overseen by Sunnybrook Centre for Prehospital Medicine (SCPM) and Base Hospital Director Sheldon Cheskes. [1] The Paramedics have routinely been involved in ground breaking patient care studies that have revolutionized Emergency Patient Care in the ROC - Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium. ROC is a clinical trial network focusing on research in the area of pre-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest and severe traumatic injury.

Peel Paramedics routinely encounter off-load delays at area hospitals due to the volume of patients transported, lengthy wait times at local Emergency Rooms and the aging population in the Region of Peel. [2]

York Region Paramedic Services provides legislated land ambulance services and paramedic care for the local municipalities within York Region. Paramedic Services is a division of the Region's Paramedic and Seniors Service Branch. Prior to 2000, ambulance services were provided by 2 private operators, York County Hospital, Nobleton Volunteer Ambulance and Ontario's Ministry of Health. The patchwork of service also had York Region dispatched by 3 different Ministry of Health Communication Centres. Georgian CACC now dispatches the whole region on the Ontario Government leased Bell Mobility Fleetnet VHF trunked radio system. There are approximately 480 full-time paramedics serving the region. King's Highway 413, known as the GTA West Corridor or GTA West until 2021, is a proposed 400-series highway and bus transitway in the western Greater Toronto Area of the Canadian province of Ontario. The approximately 52-kilometre (32 mi) route is currently undergoing planning and analysis under an environmental impact assessment (EA) by both the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) and the Government of Ontario, as well as the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada. If approved, a new four-to-six lane controlled-access highway would be built between the existing interchange of Highway 401 and the 407 ETR at the Halton–Peel boundary, and Highway 400 north of Vaughan. In addition, two new extensions would be built to connect Highway 410 and Highway 427 with Highway 413.

505 Züm Bovaird Bus rapid transit route in Brampton, Ontario

505 Züm Bovaird is an express bus route in Brampton, Ontario. This route began service on September 2, 2014. The headways are 15 minutes during peak periods and 20 minutes off peak. This route does not operate during early mornings on Sundays and late evenings on all days. This route duplicates service with 5 Bovaird and 5A Bovaird before turning south and duplicating with the 30 Airport Road, and 5A Bovaird.

The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing viral pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a novel infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The pandemic has affected the Cities of Mississauga and Brampton, and the Town of Caledon, within the Regional Municipality of Peel. As part of the larger closure decisions in Ontario, a stay-at-home order shuttered all nonessential businesses, and caused event cancellations.
