Sierra Leone is a country located in West Africa, known officially as the Republic of Sierra Leone.
The government of Sierra Leone is the governing authority of the Republic of Sierra Leone, as established by the Sierra Leone Constitution. The Kono language (Kɔnɔ) is a language spoken in Sierra Leone by the Kono people. The Kono District is situated in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone and contains 14 chiefdoms, each headed by a Paramount Chief. The language varies slightly between chiefdoms.
Princess Sarah Jane Culberson, Lady of Bumpe, Bumpenya is an American philanthropist, public speaker, educator, writer and actress. By birth she is a Mende princess of Bumpe(Bumpe–Gao Chiefdom) in Sierra Leone. She is the co-founder of Sierra Leone Rising, a non-profit organization that raises funds to improve education, economic opportunities, and sustainable living for people in Sierra Leone. In 2009, she co-authored her memoir, titled A Princess Found: An American Family, an African Chiefdom, and the Daughter Who Connected Them All. The book is being considered by Disney for development as a film directed by Stephanie Allain with Culberson as executive producer.
Kono District is a district in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. Its capital and largest city is Koidu Town. Motema is the second most populous city in the district. The other major towns in the district include Yengema, Tombodu, Jaiama Nimikor and Sewafe. The district is the largest diamond producer in Sierra Leone. The population of Kono District is 505,767. Kono District borders Kenema District to the southwest, The Republic of Guinea to the east, Koinadugu District to the northeast and Kailahun District to the southeast. Kono District is divided into fourteen chiefdoms.
Port Loko District is a district in the North West Province of Sierra Leone. It is the most populous District in the North and the second most populous District in Sierra Leone, after the Western Area Urban District. As of the 2015 census, Port Loko District has a population of 614,063. The district capital is the town of Port Loko and its largest city is Lunsar. The other major towns in the district include Masiaka, Rokupr, Pepel, Lungi and Gbinti.
Koinadugu District is a district in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. It is the largest District in Sierra Leone in geographical area, and one of the least most densely populated. Its capital and largest city is Kabala, which is also one of the main cities in Northern Sierra Leone. The District of Koinadugu has a population of 404,097, based on the 2015 Sierra Leone national census; and has a total area of 12,121 km2 (4,680 sq mi). Koinadugu District is subdivided into eleven chiefdoms.
Paramount Chief Ella Koblo Gulama OBE, GCOR was a Sierra Leonean paramount chief and politician. In 1957, she became the first elected female Member of Parliament in Sierra Leone. She was re-elected in 1962. During the government of Milton Margai, Gulama became Sierra Leone and sub-Saharan Africa's first female Cabinet Minister.
The chiefdoms of Sierra Leone are the third-level units of administration in Sierra Leone. There are 190 chiefdoms in Sierra Leone, as of 2017. Previously, there were 149.
Bombali Shebora is a chiefdom of Bombali District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. The principal town lies at Makeni.
Safroko Limba is a chiefdom of Bombali District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. The principal town lies at Binkolo.

Malen Chiefdom is a chiefdom in Pujehun District of Sierra Leone under supervision of Chief B.V.S. Kebby (Kebbie) with a population of 22,090. Its principal town is Sahn. The chiefdom is located west of the town of Pujehun. The primary economic activity is subsistence farming. The largest employer is Socfin, a palm oil producer. Malaria is endemic in the chiefdom with an estimated infection rate of 40% (∓5%).
Bumpe–Gao Chiefdom, also known as Bumpeh ngawo or Bumpe ngao is a chiefdom in Bo District of Sierra Leone. Its capital is Bumpe.
Niawa Lenga Chiefdom is a chiefdom in the northeastern part of the Bo District, Southern Province of Sierra Leone. Its capital is Nengbema, located 27.6 km northeast of the city of Bo. The area of Niawa Lenga Chiefdom includes 241 km2, derived from geospatial data. The neighbour chiefdoms of Niawa Lenga are: Valunia (north), Komboya (northeast), Bagbwe (east), Kakua (south) and Selenga (west).
