Codington County is a county in the U.S. state of South Dakota. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 28,325. Its county seat is Watertown. The county was created in 1877 and organized in 1878. It is named for Rev. George S. S. Codington, Dakota Territory legislator.

Lake Winnipeg is a very large, relatively shallow 24,514-square-kilometre (9,465 sq mi) lake in North America, in the province of Manitoba, Canada. Manitoba Hydro uses the lake as one of the largest reservoirs in the world. There are many islands, most of them undeveloped.

The Chase Lake Wilderness is located in the U.S. state of North Dakota and at 4,155 acres (16.81 km2), it covers the majority of the land area of Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the wilderness was designated by Congress in 1975.

Pelican Lake is a lake located about seven miles north of Pelican Rapids, in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. Pelican Lake is now a highly developed lake with its major uses being predominantly recreation, but its fishing is also excellent. The lake was recently discovered to be infested with zebra mussels, which threatens not only Pelican Lake, but all lakes connected by the Pelican River.
Provincial Trunk Highway 18 is a provincial highway in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is a north-south route; the southern terminus is the St. John–Lena Border Crossing at the Canada–United States border and the northern terminus is at PTH 2, 7.1 kilometres southeast of Wawanesa.
