Per "Pelle" Fosshaug (born 24 February 1965) is a Swedish bandy manager and former bandy player. Fosshaug played in midfield for many clubs in Sweden, as well as for the Sweden national bandy team, for which he made a record 129 appearances between 1994 and 2005.

Fosshaug has made 129 appearances for Sweden. [1]

Career

His career began in the 1982–83 season, where he played for second division side Borlänge-Stora Tuna BK. [2] In 1986, he moved to Allsvenskan side Falu BS, where he spent two seasons, followed by another two at IFK Vänersborg. In 1992, he made the move to Västerås SK Bandy, the club with which he became most commonly associated. During his time with Västerås SK, Fosshaug made the majority of his national team appearances. In 2004, he joined Sandvikens AIK. He was perhaps a surprise inclusion in the Swedish national bandy team for that season's Bandy World Championship, but he made 7 appearances in the tournament, scoring 2 goals. After just one year at Sandvikens AIK, Fosshaug stepped down a division to join Tillberga IK, helping the team win promotion to the Allsvenskan, which at the time was the top-tier in Swedish bandy.

He was charactarized by his rough style of play and was diagnosed with ADHD in 2007. [3]

After his active playing career, Fosshaug has been a coach for Borlänge-Stora Tuna BK and for the Somalia national bandy team.

The Elitserien is since the 2007–08 season the highest bandy league in Sweden. It consists of 14 teams. The season ends with one final game in March. The final was held at Studenternas IP in Uppsala from 1991 until 2012. In 2013 and 2014 the final was played at Friends Arena in Solna, and from 2015 to 2017 it was played at the Tele2 Arena. The final returned to 4,600-capacity Studenternas IP indoor stadium in 2018.

Borlänge/Stora Tuna BK is a bandy club in Borlänge in Sweden. It was founded as Borlänge-Stora Tuna BK in 1981, when two clubs combined. The club was usually called Borlänge Bandy, until 2016, when it changed to the name Peace & Love City because of a cooperation with the Peace & Love cultural festival. The full legal name is still Ideella föreningen Borlänge-Stora Tuna Bandyklubb med firma Borlänge-Stora Tuna BK. Since 2019, the club is again called Borlänge/Stora Tuna BK.

The 1950–51 Svenska mästerskapet was the 21st and final season of Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. Starting in the following season, the title of Swedish Champions would be awarded to the winners of Allsvenskan. The tournament was contested by all Allsvenskan teams and all District Champions, along with invited teams from Division II. 32 teams competed in the tournament. AIK were the defending champions, but were defeated by IFK Kristianstad in the final. IFK Kristianstad won their third title. The final was played in Sporthallen in Kristianstad and was watched by 1,272 spectators.
