Per Rickard Henrik Andreasson (born 18 February 1981 in Mariefred) is a Swedish Drummer, Rocksinger and Songwriter. He is co-founder of the Swedish rock-band Royal Republic. [1] [2]
Per Andreasson studied Music at the Malmö Academy of Music. In 2007 he founded the band "Royal Republic" along with three other students Adam Grahn (vocals, guitar), Jonas Almén (bass) and Hannes Irengård (guitar). [3] The band recorded their first album, We are the Royal in 2010 in Malmö. In 2012 they released their second album titled Save the Nation. The third album Royal Republic and the Nosebreakers with songs from the previous albums re-interpreted in an acoustic and country-like way was released in 2014. In 2016 the Swedes recorded their fourth album "Weekendman". Last three albums were recorded by Michael Ilbert at Hansa Studio 1 and Hansa Mix Room. [4] The band has signed a contract with Vertigo/Universal Music. [5] [6] Royal Republic are active on the touring circuit in Europe and the United States. [7] [8] The band played at the tradition-rich German festivals Rock am Ring , [9] Rock im Park [10] and the Highfield-Festival. [11]
Kraftwerk is a German electronic band formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. Widely considered innovators and pioneers of electronic music, Kraftwerk were among the first successful acts to popularize the genre. The group began as part of West Germany's experimental krautrock scene in the early 1970s before fully embracing electronic instrumentation, including synthesizers, drum machines, and vocoders. Boyce Avenue is an American cover band that was formed in Sarasota, Florida by brothers Alejandro Luis Manzano, Daniel Enrique Manzano, and Fabian Rafael Manzano. "Go Right Ahead" is a song by Swedish rock band the Hives, released as a single in 2012. It is the first single taken from their fifth full-length album Lex Hives and is the second listed track from that album. "Go Right Ahead" was released on 3 April 2012 through digital download platforms such as iTunes and Spotify. It was also released as a limited edition 7" vinyl for Record Store Day on 21 April 2012, however, it was available for purchase at the Zia Records tent during the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on 15 April where they were signing records for fans. The Delmé Quartet, aka The Delmé String Quartet, was a String quartet, founded in London in 1962. In 1967, it became the first string quartet to be attached to a British university as Artist-in-residence—in this case, the University of Sussex. The quartet also spent four years as performing Fellows at Lancaster University, and taught the art of quartet performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. "Cotton Eye Joe" is a song by Swedish Eurodance group Rednex, released in August 1994 as the first single from their debut studio album, Sex & Violins (1995). Based on the traditional American folk song "Cotton-Eyed Joe", it combines the group's style with traditional American instruments such as banjos and fiddles. The vocal verses are performed by Annika Ljungberg, while the "Cotton Eye Joe" chorus is sung by Göran Danielsson, who never appears in the music video for the song, directed by Stefan Berg. It was a number one hit in at least eleven countries, and reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 23 on the Cash Box Top 100 in the US. In 2002, "Cotton Eye Joe" was remixed in a new dance version, and was released on Rednex's first greatest hits album, The Best of the West (2002).
Airat Rafailovich Ichmouratov born 28 June 1973) is a Volga Tatar born Russian / Canadian composer, conductor and klezmer clarinetist. He was conductor and composer in residence of Longueuil Symphony Orchestra (2018-2021), clarinetist of Montreal-based Klezmer group Kleztory and invited professor at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. On 21 October 2020 Airat Ichmouratov received Charles Biddle Award. This honour, given by Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration, and Culture pour tous highlights the contributions of immigrants to Quebec whose personal and professional commitment contributes to the province's cultural and artistic development.
