Per Tage Gustafsson (born June 4, 1970) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played over 700 games for HV71 in the Swedish Elitserien between 1988 and 2010, winning the championship three times. He also played 89 games in the National Hockey League for Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators, between 1996 and 1998. Internationally he played for the Swedish national team in several tournaments, including the 1996 and 2003 World Championships, winning a silver in the latter.
Gustafsson was drafted in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft by Florida Panthers with their 11th pick, 261st overall. He played two seasons, 1996–97 and 1997–98, in the NHL and American Hockey League. Playing for Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators, he totalled 89 games for 35 points (8 goals and 27 assists).
He played for HV71 for 20 seasons and was one of the best defencemen in the club's history. He has the club record for most played regular season and playoff games. [1]
In 1991–92 season Gustafsson scored a goal against Luleå HF just after six seconds, which as of 2008 was the Elitserien's record for fastest goal.
Gustafsson made his debut in the Swedish national team on April 12, 1992, in Moscow in a match against the Russian national team. He played for Sweden in the 1996 World Championships and 2003 World Championships, where he won a silver medal.

HV71, often referred to as just HV, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Jönköping, playing in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the first tier of Swedish ice hockey. The team played in the 2008–09 Champions Hockey League season, and also participates in the new Champions Hockey League tournament since the 2014–15 season. Between 2008 and 2013, HV also participated in the European Trophy tournament. With the exception of a one-year stint in the 2021–22 season in Sweden's second tier, HockeyAllsvenskan, where they won the promotion playoffs, the club has played continuously in the SHL since 1986.

Stefan Daniel Patryk Liv was a Swedish professional ice hockey player who played as a goaltender. Liv played professionally in Sweden, North America and Russia. Liv played nine seasons for HV71 in the top-tier league in Sweden. He played one season in Detroit Red Wings organization without managing to make his debut in the NHL. He then returned to Europe and HV71. Upon his return, he played three seasons in Sweden, then moved to Russia in 2010.
Karl Mikael Samuelsson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey right winger. Samuelsson began his career in Sweden, starting with small town team IFK Mariefred, followed by Södertälje SK as a junior in 1994. He went on to also play for Swedish teams IK Nyköping, Frölunda HC and Brynäs IF. After being selected 145th overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks, he moved to North America for the 2000–01 NHL season. Samuelsson spent short stints with the Sharks, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Florida Panthers, before returning to Europe during the 2004–05 NHL lockout. As NHL play resumed, Samuelsson signed with the Detroit Red Wings, where he enjoyed individual and team success, winning the Stanley Cup with the club in 2008. After four seasons in Detroit, he signed with the Vancouver Canucks in July 2009. He enjoyed the two most successful individual seasons of his career with Vancouver, recording back-to-back 50-point campaigns in 2009–10 and 2010–11. In his third year with the club, he was traded to the Panthers for his second stint in Florida. At the end of the season, he re-signed with the Red Wings in July 2012.

Welch completed his professional career in Europe, most notably winning two Swedish Hockey League championships with the Växjö Lakers.

The 2008–09 HV71 season saw HV71's attempt to defend their Swedish Championship title and win the regular season for a second consecutive season. It was the 25th season in the Swedish elite league Elitserien for the club. The club ended fourth after the regular season and managed to go to the finals but was beaten by Färjestads BK who won the Swedish Championship.

He previously played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Calgary Flames, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Montreal Canadiens. Gustafsson was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round, 93rd overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
