Percy Avock (born 10 June 1968) is a former Vanuatuan footballer and the current manager of Vanuatuan club Malampa Revivors. Avock was the coach of the Vanuatu national football team for the 2012 OFC Nations Cup. He is one of Vanuatu coaches which has had a sports education in France

Career

Avock started his coaching career with Yatel and he stayed with the club until 2011. From December 2011 until April 2012 he was a coach of the AS Mont-Dore. From May 2012 he coached the Vanuatu national football team for the 2012 OFC Nations Cup. [1] This tournament ended as a disappointment for Vanuatu and Avock was fired. After this he went back to New Caledonia to train AS Mont-Dore. In December 2016 it was announced that Avock became the coach of Malampa Revivors to help them for the 2017 OFC Champions League

Private life

Avock lives in Nouméa where he runs a small electrical company.

As a player, Poida made 21 appearances for the national team and scored three goals as a winger and midfielder. At club level, he played for Tafea F.C. for his entire career. In 2008 Poida played for an Oceanian representative side against a team that included members of France's 1998 FIFA World Cup winning team. The game included players such as Zinedine Zidane, Christian Karembeu and Robert Pires.

The 2012 OFC Nations Cup was an international football tournament that was held in the Solomon Islands from 1 to 10 June 2012. The 11 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of players; only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament. An initial four-team qualifying phase took place in Samoa from 22 to 26 November 2011 allowing the winner, Samoa, to move on and join the other seven teams at the main tournament.
