Percy C Ross (dates of birth and death unknown) was an Irish first-class cricketer.
A leading member of Cork County in the first decade of the 1900s, [1] Ross made his debut for Ireland in a minor match against Cambridge University at Cork in 1904. [2] He later made played one first-class match for Ireland against the touring South Africans at Woodbrook in 1912. [3] Batting twice in the match,Ross top-scored with 26 runs in Ireland's first-innings,before being dismissed by Aubrey Faulkner,while in their second-innings he was dismissed by Claude Carter for 3 runs. [4] With his medium pace bowling,he took the wickets of Herbie Taylor and Frank Mitchell,taking figures of 2/99 from 23 overs. [4] He did not play for Ireland again. [1]
Robert Graeme Pollock is a former cricketer for South Africa,Transvaal and Eastern Province. A member of a famous cricketing family,Pollock is widely regarded as one of South Africa's greatest ever cricketers,and as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. Despite Pollock's international career being cut short at the age of 26 by the sporting boycott of South Africa,and all but one of his 23 Test matches being against England and Australia,the leading cricket nations of the day,he broke a number of records. His completed career Test match batting average of 60.97 remains the third best behind Sir Don Bradman and Adam Voges.
Dominic Gerald Cork is a former English county and international cricketer. Cork was a right-handed lower-order batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium,and was renowned for his swing and seam control. In 1995,he took the best figures for an England bowler on Test debut,with 7 for 43 in the second innings against the West Indies.
Herbert Wilfred Taylor was a South African cricketer who played 42 Test matches for his country including 18 as captain of the side. Specifically a batsman,he was an expert on the matting pitches which were prevalent in South Africa at the time and scored six of his seven centuries at home. His batting was also noted for quick footwork and exceptional 'backplay'. He became the first South African to pass 2,500 Test runs and was selected one of Wisden's Cricketers of the Year in 1925. In domestic cricket,he played for Natal,Transvaal and Western Province.

Albert Edward Ernest Vogler was a South African cricketer. A leading all-rounder skilled both at batting and bowling,Vogler played cricket in South Africa prior to becoming eligible to play for Middlesex County Cricket Club in England after serving on the ground staff of the Marylebone Cricket Club at Lord's. He rose to prominence during the 1906 home Test series and then in England the following year:he was described during the latter as the best bowler in the world by Tip Foster,and named a Wisden Cricketer of the Year.
Alfred Henry Cecil Cooper was a South African cricketer who played a single Test match for the South African national side during the 1913–14 season. Domestically,he played for Transvaal from 1912 to 1928.
When the First World War ended in November 1918,thousands of Australian servicemen were in Europe as members of the First Australian Imperial Force (AIF) and many remained until the spring of 1919. In England,a new first-class cricket season was planned,the first since 1914,and an idea that came to fruition was the formation of an Australian touring side made up of servicemen. Agreement was reached with the Australian Corps HQ in London,commanded by Field Marshal William Birdwood,1st Baron Birdwood,and the Australian Imperial Force Touring XI was formed,initially under the captaincy of pre-war Test player Charlie Kelleway. Kelleway departed after only six matches following a dispute about the fixtures list. A players' meeting elected future Test player Herbie Collins as team captain for the remainder of the tour,despite the fact that Collins' military rank was lance corporal and there were seven officers in the party. The bulk of the team remained intact for nearly nine months from May 1919,playing 33 matches in Great Britain,ten in South Africa on their way home and then another three in Australia itself before disbanding in February 1920. Of the 46 matches,39 are adjudged first-class and the team had only four defeats,all of these in England. The players lived on their army pay and all profits from gate money went to an AIF Sports Control Board.
Eoin Joseph Gerard Morgan is an Irish and English former cricketer and current commentator. He captained the England cricket team in limited overs cricket from 2015 until his international retirement in June 2022. Under his captaincy,England won the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup,the first time they won the tournament,along with reaching the finals of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20,where the team lost to the West Indies by 4 wickets. Morgan was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
Robert James Hamilton Lambert was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler,he played 51 times for the Ireland cricket team between 1893 and 1930,including 23 first-class matches,captaining them on 13 occasions. He also played first-class cricket for London County and Woodbrook Club and Ground. On his death,the Wisden Cricketer's Almanack described him as the best all-rounder produced by Ireland.
William Harrington was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler,he played 28 times for the Ireland cricket team between 1894 and 1921,including fifteen first-class matches.

The son of Timothy Quinlan,an Irish-born politician,Quinlan was educated in Ireland where he played cricket for Dublin University and Ireland. He returned to Western Australia in 1920 to practise law,and also played several cricket matches for the Western Australia cricket team. He died in 1935 after a long illness.
